"United States Military"
-- United States Marine Corps -- -- Drill Instructor Manual V.1 --
-- 1-1 Introduction to the job --
The journey you're about to embark will not be one of ease, you have chosen to become one of the few who have taken it upon themselves to ensure that only quality individuals make it into our beloved Marine Corps. We can only accept those who are willing to carry out their position with the upmost professionalism.
-- 1-2 Behavior --
As Drill Instructors you must uphold yourself above the normal expectations of the average serviceman, These are a few ground rules to go by;
1. Set an example, as a Drill Instructor not only are you a leader you are a mentor to the individuals who have taken it upon themselves to enlist in the United States Marine Corps
2. Obey every given command with speed and intensity, High Command has enough to deal with and they are not in need of any distractions.
3. Professionalism is key, you are the primary influence on your recruits; they will learn from and emulate you. This means that actions such as dressing inappropriately, (Long Hair,Ties,Silly hats,Sword Packs, T-Shirts) making faces, (XD, :3 ) using idiotic acronyms ( LOL, brb ) or crazy skin colors (Blue,Green,Pink) are banned while On and Off Duty.
4. Stern but fair, These are recruits; they are not your friends. As Drill Instructors it is your duty to make sure that any incoming recruits are up to the task of enlistment in the United States Marines; while this is not a free pass to be abusive, know that one of your goals is to weed out anyone who is unfit for duty.
5. Take pride in what you do, you are training the future of USM. Where we are going rests firmly in your hands.
These are the few ground rules to go by throughout your career.
"2-0 Recruit Interaction"
-- 2-1 The Three Strike Rule --
Seeing how this is not real life, merely a game. We cannot control the free will of recruits, We must use other tactics to ensure only quality applicants continue on to our ranks; one of these is the three strike rule. The Three Strike Rule(TTSR)is as follows:
1. Verbal Warning - an oral correction of the recruit's actions
2. Non Judicial Punishment(NJP'd) - Arbitrary Orders ( Any Order given as a punishment that does not have to serve a purpose)
3. Discharge - Kick or ban at Drill Instructors discretion, With pending removal from training program
The Three Strike Rule is to be carried out at the discretion of the Instructor, pending the severity of their actions.
-- 2-2 Verbal Communication --
Getting your point across is key, you will not accommodate yourself for these recruits. They live by YOUR LAW. One of the most notorious tactics employed by Drill Instructors is mind games for example:
1. If you're working with a group with multiple Drill Instructors issue conflicting orders and punish the recruit(s) for not carrying out the orders correctly. In combat recruits are exposed to multiple objectives the earlier they learn to cope the better.
2. Share victory, share defeat. The ability to police itself is one of the main trademarks of a successful organization. Instead of Punishing the recruit, punish his platoon and watch as they take it upon themselves to correct him. Although if the recruit lacks motivation it is better to loose the finger than the hand. Meaning that the recruit will be separated instead of punishing the platoon for a dead link.
3. Respect is earned through action, while these recruits are not entitled to respect; keep in mind you're their mentor. They do not have to like you, only learn from you. Before any action, ask yourself " What will they learn? "
"3-0 Introduction to Phases"
-- 3-1 What are phases? --
Phases are the representation of each level of recruit training. They are done in order by Red Phase, White Phase, then lastly, Blue Phase. You are expected to cover all three phases in one session. BMT Training must be efficient. When people have to go mid-training, put them in the Phase Slot that they were in when they left.
-- 3-2 Creating a Training Session --
The following is a collection of tips to help boost Recruit turnout at training sessions:
1. Prior notice, with recruits you should always expect a level of sluggishness in response time so it is advised that you post prior notifications 24,6,3,1 hour(s) ahead of time and at 15 minute intervals within an hour of training time.
2. Mass message mass turnout, it is recommended that you message online recruits 15 minutes before each training session; be sure that the message contains Location,Uniform requirement and Time.
3. Be early, if recruits see you at the location from the roblox screen they are more likely to follow you into the server.
-- 3-3 Introduction to Red Phase --
Red phase is the first part of recruit training, during this phase recruits are introduced to their Drill Instructors and educated in the following fields:
1. Uniform Regulation
2. Rank Structure
3. Drill Commands
4. Team Building Exercises
-- 3-4 Introduction to White Phase --
White phase is the phase where recruits are put through more difficult trials including:
1. Sword Fighting
2. Weapons Familiarization
3. Light Vehicle Course
4. Squad Tactics
-- 3-5 Introduction to Blue Phase --
Blue phase is graduation phase where recruits earn the title of Marine and the respect of their Drill Instructors although keep in mind they are still recruits. During Blue Phase recruits are put through the following events:
1. USMC History
2. USM Regulations
3. Review Class
4. Graduation

Upon creating a sizeable training platoon you must breif them upon the course they are about to take.If anyone is unable to stay for the duration now would be a proper time to dissmiss them.Once this is complete training may commence.
-- 4-4 Uniform Regulation --
USMC Uniform Regulations:
If a Marine does not follow these Regulations he/she will be punished, according to the place/Uniform.

-- 4-5 Rank Structure --
The new recruits must be taught the rank system of the USM. If you don't know this then you probably shouldn't be a Drill Instructor.
-- 4-6 Combat Command Structure -- MARFORCOM - Marine Forces Command Commands: 2nd MEF 2nd MEF: Commands the 2nd MD MARFORPAC - Marine Forces Pacific Commands: 1st and 3rd MEFs 1st MEF: Commands the 1st MD 3rd MEF: Commands the 3rd and 4th MDs BMTs need to know this combat structure by heart if they want to become a member of the Corps.

3. Fall In/Out
4. Present/Order Arms

6. At Ease
-- 4-8 Team Building exercises --
Team up BMTs in groups of two, and have them complete challenges together. Things like the obstacle course. Then use the ?givebtools/me? command to get building tools and build a wall. Then group teams together to make two teams, and put them up against each other to see who can make a body latter the most efficiently with the most teamwork. The point of team building, is to encourage team effort and good relations with other troops. Marines need to know that they have to work with everyone, even the people they dislike.

White phase is a collection of tests and classes designed to boost combat effectiveness and over all troop quality. "6-0 Blue Phase Indepth"
-- 6-1 Blue Phase Overview --
By the time they get to Blue Phase most recruits who do not have the will to hack it in the Corps have been weeded out through various mental abuses or by failing to meet standards. It is during this phase that we begin to breed an educated force of Marines for duty. This is also the phase in which they graduate and are promoted to E-2 in the main group.During this phase recruits under go a class of USMC history (Roblox USMC), USM Regulations, and a Review class where they are questioned on everything they have learned. Upon completion of those three tasks recruits are put through a drill ceremony infront of the Base Commander and are officially given the title of USM Marine.
-- 6-2 Proper Attire --
The proper attire for Blue phase is the same as Red phase:
Head: Campaign Cover(Provided at Base) Hair: None Face: Something that reflects your attitude Glasses: Not Required just make sure their tasteful Torso: Charlie Top Pants: Charlie Bottom
-- 6-3 USMC History --
This class will cover the role the USMC has played in USM and Roblox. This should include a listing of USM wars and notable USMC victories.
-- 6-4 USM Regulations --
You will be Briefed during your training course onto the details but the things you must cover are:
1. Announcing when any General enters the Server/Room. (Ex ?COMMANDANT ON DECK!?)
2. Saluting and greeting any officer you come within 20 studs of.
3. Greeting any NCO (Non-Commissioned Officer) you come in contact with.
4. Not wearing covers on Indoor maps.
5. Rules of Engagement (VERY IMPORTANT)
-- 6-5 Review Class --
During this course you will question recruits on random topics they learned in Recruit Training. Send back anyone who you deem needs to repeat a said course. Good things to quiz, Combat Command structure, the Enlisted and Officer ranks, and Uniform Regulations.
-- 6-6 Graduation --
On Graduation recruits are bestowed upon them the title of Marine. You will form them up, dress them in Charlies, and have them wear the ?Army Cap? hat. You will then bestow them with the title of Marine. You will write a list of the graduates, and what MEF to put them in. You must inform them to find a Division to join upon graduation, or else they are useless Marines.

| America won't blow up China because of its "talk first, actions later" policy. Besides, America needs China as much as China needs America. |
