Definitely the best televisional paranormal show. I love the genuine creepy atmosphere it creates, and the fact that they re-create alleged happenings utilizing actual actors/actresses so it pulls us further into the immersion. Robert Stack is a great host.

My only nit-pick, with the show is its lack of DVD releases. The only ones out now on sale are all region 1, and miss out on much of the shows content, they're all released in separate volumes such as Vol.1 - "UFOs" and such. I think they should release each season in chronological order, but other than that a thoroughly decent show that raises many questions about the supernatural, the government, and the condition of humanity in general.

Oh, and the theme song is excellent:

So, do you watch the show? What's your favourite episode? Do you prefer the more human-related cases, or tales of the paranormal?

I have a paranormal tale that has yet to be solved:

I was at my house, asleep. I woke up and look at where my closet was, a little asleep. I could've sworn I saw a maid and a butler figure by my closet before I fell back asleep. It was too detailed to be a shadow, but now detailed enough to be human. Can anyone explain this?

Just learned that the show ended in 2010, which is disappointing. Apparently it was revived after the shows' initial cancellation in 2002. The 2008 - 2010 version, however, only presented current information on cases presented in previous episodes of the show.

It would be so damn awesome if they revived it once more, but gave it a modern twist; involving modern cases.

In all honesty, I don't think you had a genuine paranormal encounter. I see things all the time upon waking up. In your half-asleep state you can misinterpret almost anything to appear creepier than it seems, but hey, who knows. Maybe you did have an encounter, with the unknown.

I wish I could explain that.

Back in 2005, I lived in a house and I swear it was haunted or something.
At night, you could hear pots and pan clanking and bashing around in the kitchen. You could also hear people talking.
During the day, there was a rocking chair and it would start rocking back and forth for no reason.
But the weirdest thing, was during the night, you could hear children running and laughing upstairs. You could literally hear their feet hitting the upstairs floor/downstairs ceiling. But when you went upstairs, all was silent.

It was pretty weird.

I've had other weird/possible paranormal experiences, but that's the one that's stuck with me the most.

I never had a legit paranormal encounter except that one time I bumped into The Slender Man, but still, I have always pondered on the possibility of their being another world co-existing, with our own. Whether or not it is true, it still remains something that deeply interests me. As much as I enjoyed reading your two's stories, there might be a rational explanation, to the occurrences, but as I say that I did not experience them, so, who knows?

I don't see a rational explanation for hearing children running upstairs in the dead of night.
I thought it was just me, but my entire family heard it (and a friend of mine that was over, and then he was too scared to go to sleep).
But it happened almost all the time.

Once could be nothing, twice a coincidence, but over half of a year?
It made me feel pretty insane. XP

As a Christian, I do believe in the Spirit World. In my mind, that could possibly have a connection with seeing and/or hearing various things.

To the Atheist's/Non-believer's, I'm not sure how to explain it.

"I have not told my parents, (christian family hear) but I am an atheist, and I believe in this stuff."

Interesting. Most Atheists I've met tell me there's a scientific possibility to what I've seen/heard (not saying that there isn’t one), and that I'm just using my Faith as a shield.

It's nice to meet someone different, for a change. :D

As for your parents, I think you should tell them, and ask them what they think.

Just to clarify I'm not saying that at all.

I'm just skeptical when it comes to claims of the paranormal I do believe in forces beyond our understanding, but you get so many people making false claims it is hard to believe anyone - not calling you a liar - but the point stands. I'm not an atheist, but I'm not particularly religious.

> "Does any one else here believe in magic?"

Interestingly enough I do come, from a history of pagans, and such, but magic is something that I don't believe in, unless I see it, with my own eyes. I do believe in mental capabilities though.

I completely understand what you're saying. There are tons of people out there who say they've seen paranormal things, but it turns out they're either crazy, or just want attention.
Your skepticism is very understandable.

I assure you, I'm not a liar. :-)

"The problem with that is, I used to be a Christian, and most (if not all) of my area is Christian, and I have a record of coming to church everyday for like 4 years. To suddenly say I am Atheist might be kind of off-putting.

Just out of curiosity....
Does any one else here believe in magic?"

What made you stop being a Christian?
(You can reply in a message, if you prefer. But honestly, you don't even have to reply. I won't force you to. XD I'm just curious.)

But, yes, I believe in magic.

Whilst we're on this topic I must ask: Where do you, guys stand on the existence of cryptids such as Bigfoot? I honestly believe in the existence of Bigfoot, although we have literally no evidence, to suggest this, I feel, as if there is such a species out there.

Bigfoot? Honestly, I think anything's possible. There could be some unknown creature lurking in the woods. It's very, very possible. I highly doubt we know every single type of creature/human/animal on this planet.
I'm not saying I believe in Bigfoot, but I'm not saying I don't.

Not too sure about the Loch-Ness Monster.
But, as said, I do believe that anything's possible.
