So, I look at my feed. I see my friend was asking people to play his place because he's broke and needs money. But the phrase "needs money" was in blue! Curious, I move my mouse over it. Something that says "Make $437 every day." popped up. I just shrugged my shoulders and ignored it. "Obviously a scam." I thought. Later, I post a help request on scripting helpers. Hyperlinks had also been attached to my words. I really hate how they're now advertising through our communication. ROBLOX, what do you think you're doing?! Your obsession with money knows no bounds. So, I ask you remove these petty little hyperlinks now.

| This is some kind of adware or malware. ROBLOX does not do keyword type advertising or popups. Please do a scan of your system. |

Like MCA said, ROBLOX has nothing to do with that.
Have you downloaded anything in the last week or so? If so, the downloader may have shipped some unwanted adware along with the item you downloaded. Always read every page of the installer before clicking "Next" to avoid getting adware as most will give you the option of not installing the adware. My guess is that you recently updated Java, Adobe Flash, or both and didn't notice that they were asking you if you wanted to download the adware.
As for getting rid of the adware, do what MCA said and scan you computer. Check your Ad-ons folder for your browser and disable any that look suspicious. Finally, if you are using a PC:
Go to: Control Panel>Programs>Programs and Features and then look for any programs that you don't recognize or things that were downloaded within the last week.
Some of the common adware "brand" names that you can look for are:
- Yontoo - Kontera - Infolinks - Wajam - Yahoo - As a trusted search engine most Yahoo programs are safe, but the occansional few are not - Text-Enhance
If you are doing anything on your computer that involves Personal 1nformation, it is essential that you find the program and dispose of it as quickly as possible. |
