| ... Why does global mouse still get key press events when you are chatting? Shouldn't the chat not send key events? |

| That has been annoying me for a while. I thought it only happened on Mac OS X because I asked other players and they didn't have the same problem, though. |

| Windows 8 is only good if you have a touch screen and don't do anything but browse miscellaneous websites. |

Windows 8 is a waste of money. |

Woah woah woah.
Windows 8 has a lot of performance improvements for newer systems (native USB 3.0, anyone?) as well as quite a few improvements.
The start screen is actually a lot better than the old start menu, it fits more stuff, has better search matching, doesn't take up the space of a start button.
The desktop on this would actually probably be pitiful to use on a touch screen, and I love it with my mouse and keyboard (but mostly keyboard.) |

Only scripters. . .
You turn a thread about the new chat gui into an argument about Windows 8. Do you really have nothing better to do with your lives? |

| Back on track, what are your opinions of the newer GUI-based chat? |

Upgrading from windows 7 to windows 8 is a waste of money. Buying a laptop that just happens to have windows 8 because windows 7 is no longer the newest operating system is not a waste of money. Downgrading from windows 8 to windows 7 is a waste of money. Buying a Toshiba is a waste of money. Buying a Dell is a waste of money. Buying a laptop that either doesn't have an aluminum casing and a back-lit keyboard or isn't a touchscreen is a waste of money. |

I like the Gui based chat, and regardless, you could do something like this to disable it.
local Chatting = false local Player = game.Players.LocalPlayer local Mouse = Player:GetMouse()
Mouse.KeyDown:connect(function (key) if key == "/" then --I know this line is incorrect, it's to early for me. Chatting = true end end)
Player.Chatted:connect(function () Chatting = false end)
I enjoy the ability of being able to detect what they type as they chat. |
