Is it still possible to silence a chat? Without a Chat GUI or anything. The main Core GUI chat. Any sort of hacky code?

| I'd say no... Probably best way would be to use custom chat GUI, but still, you'd be able to see bubble chat. |

| I have a theory that setting chat to bubbles only, putting the character in the camera, and then creating a character dupe in workspace that's welded to the original character on the client side would prevent all chats from appearing (minus the user's own chat). |

Wow, garnished. I'm so glad you're observant enough to notice something that we were completely unaware of. Because of your observational skills, you have improved the quality of this conversation and expanded upon the original thought, enlightening everyone involved to an extent that less-gifted individuals could only dream of. Kudos.

@Arc
That is by far one of the best solutions to this issue I've ever had the pleasure of reading. :o

@garnished
you posted an entire thread stating how you were going to leave the scripters forum and yet you are still here?

If I recall correctly, I believe I've tried using Arceus' method in the past and the chat bubble was still visible to other players even though the character was not.
Although I could be completely wrong and remembering incorrectly. |

Bubble chat appears above the head object. All you need to do is change the weld position of the head, add a new psuedo head and set that as the camera subject.
You'll also need to throw together a script to stop people putting their camera through parts. This can be done with a raycast. |

| So welding the head to 30k studs above the character would work? If that's true, super neat. |

| Is anyone forgetting that the camera's subject happens to be the head? |

| Actually, it's the humanoid, and that can be changed easily. |

| Indeed, very easily. The only problem is, wouldn't there need to be a fake head AND torso, as they have to be touching? |

The head and torso do not have to be touching. They only need to be welded. |
