I got this idea from ploober.

WARNING: Long post, but it's worth reading.

So, with most wars, clans just raid each other for a couple weeks before they call it quite and have one final battle to settle the conflict.

This is a highly flawed idea that I know even people with a decent amount of intelligence know how it is flawed.

Firstly, pretty much the entire war except for the final battle is useless. If the final battle decides everything, then the raids are just wasting time that could be used for training, since it's not even going to count for anything. Secondly, a clan can be generally great at raiding and working together, which is what should be counted, instead of a select group of people being undefeatable and everyone else sucking. I believe I have a system that can solve all of this and e exciting at the same time.

First, official declarations of war may be given, in order to clearly organize. At the start of a war, there will be one battle at a neutral party (Pitgrounds as an example). This is before ANYTHING has happened during the war and the raid count and anything else is nil. The winning clan will start off the war with a head start. This first starting battle is worth precisely 10 points. After this battle, raids may resume. Every raid win is 1 point counted towards your clan's score. Win decals must be a neat line with everyone being shown. These wins are sent to an account that is owned by a high rank of the clan. If needed, neutral parties may review the win decals to see if they are legitimate or not.

Over the course of the war, there are three battles, precisely one battle every 3-4 weeks. The first battle is at one clan's warzone. This is not MEANT to be a fair way. The home clan is able to tweak things to turn it to their advantage, but it cannot be incredibly unfair. Again, if needed, neutral parties can review. A win in these battles is worth 5 points. The middle battle is at the other clan's warzone, same things applied to above. Now, the last battle is given to WHOEVER HAS THE LARGEST AMOUNT OF POINTS AT THIS STAGE. Keeping track of the score is vital. A neutral party may be the tracker. Whoever is winning at this point is given the home field, and same rules apply as above. Examples of tweaks could be slightly better guns, a height advantage, etc. After this battle, there can be two more weeks of raiding before the FINAL battle. This battle is at a neutral party's warzone. Winning this battle is worth 20 points, which is a very large amount.

This system is meant as to where in every battle the teams MUST have different people. Only the leader may be in all battles. It's a 6v6 for each battle. Max is 8v8. In the middle three battles, only ONE of the battles may the leader be able to hire some mercenaries to fight for his team. If 90% of clans used this system, a lot of people could work as mercenaries to earn money, opening a new line of business.

This is just a draft of a war system that I have though of. It is dependent on neutral parties and score tracking. There will obviously be flaws, but feel free to point them out.

These replies show how lazy the general work population is nowadays.

I worry for the world's next generation of parents.

Artlens, I had this idea a while back.

Kinda the same idea, but it still keeps the raiding feel.

It's worth about 3 minutes of your life, you're already on here on this thread. If you go on long posts just to troll and say tldr then you have no life.

I was curious about your thread and wanted to hear your idea, but didn't want to read something this long because I'm exhausted. I literally just got home, I stayed at school for 13 hours. If I read this, I'd fall asleep right where I sit.

But I guess that means I have no life. I apologize.

I think we need a system that has less organization, less to keep track of, and less to argue about, than one you're proposing, which goes in the opposite direction.

It's always difficult to keep track of things and agree with other people, especially when one's reputation is on the line.

I prefer my idea: Set up a war with another clan, raid each other until our brains explode, and then end the war without a victor.

That seems like a jolly good idea Sun.

And if you don't want to read this thread then don't reply. You've spent at least five minutes now on this thread, and instead of reading the post and providing feedback your busy trying to prove a point.

Replying to clarify,
I think the "raiding" system should be arranged in a bit more simple ways. If we were to say set "common standards" for what a "fair" base is, it would save us the large hassel of people screaming "UNFAIR FORT" "AUTOWIN". If we were to set rules such as "Must be at least TWO paths into the base" and "The raiders may not walk more than twice the distance the opposing team walks" and my favorite, "Members may not spawn in base, unless a capturable spawn flag is used". Personally streamlining raids, and making them more enjoyable would, in fact, speed up wars, and almost eliminate the need for the "end all be all" final battle.

TL;DR -- Set standards for a "Fair" base.

Part about how there will be a battle and a clan can tweak its fort a little -Not like SC did in the SC-RSF war where they got jetpacks, run tools, medkits, and Katanas.

But people need to know "when" to end a war.

Meaning, if we raid, then for how long? A month, two months? Without a final bang, it's difficult fairly decide the end of a war. Perhaps after a month, clan B starts to catch up to Clan A.

People feel there needs to be a way to decide. FBs are done at places with equal terms for both teams. (Clan forts are not equal, and unless each clan uses the same fort to defend, and raid at, then raid wins are skewed).

I just had inspiration for a new system...

People can use the same fort... Holding on to this same fort to complete a goal. I don't know what that goal would be. Perhaps a war score, like 5000 points, and each 10 minute, continuous, period of time it is held will give your team a point. (So the war lasts a long time, and you must have like 500 points more than the other team to win).

That's how some sports do it...Anyway, of course, time of day must be taken into account. Perhaps it takes 30 minutes for 1 point during the USA nights. (Most people are from the US, so battles shouldn't earn many points during those times, however, if there are requirements to the number of people on each side, then it won't matter).

Okay. Obviously this system is very complicated, so it may need a little bit of simplifying.
