As if the word "alt" or "alternate" isn't allowed. Or as if "late" isn't allowed.
I know back a long time ago, this one kid used to say "cOLD mOLD on a sLATE pLATE" and it caught on. So I guess that is why people say sLATE today, but why sALT? |

They're just saying it indirectly. I remember they used it back in 08 and maybe even before that.
