so during PE class yesterday I was holding the door open and this girl looked at my shoes and (very rudely, right in my face) literally said 'what the hell?!' then she walked into the hallway and (as if I wasn't even there) she started talking to my friends about my shoes and how crappy they are
I mean, my shoes really are beat up too
I've had them for a while, and the right shoe has 3 holes in it
but I can't go buy shoes
my family can't even pay rent right now
so I don't even want to go to school anymore and I'm upset
can someone give me a ray of optimism? |

| it can't be as bad as your gym coach laughing at you. sometimes, i see my coach looking at me while chuckling; although i could just be paranoid. it's made me really anxious, and now i'm paranoid that everyone is looking at me, laughing |

| if they judge you by the clothes you wear, they clearly think that a shell is more important than the heart |

wow she's low you really shouldn't even pay attention to people like that and so what if your shoes aren't "new" just save up a little money and go to a discount/charity shop may seem a little bit pathetic but they actually have nice things if you look trust me, my family isn't very rich either hang in there |

| Hun don't listen to that snob. She only makes fun of you because she's so pathetic and craves attention. Next time she does that just kick her in the face while wearing those "crappy shoes" :) |

I know that you won't believe me, but it's not like I'm seeking attention here or anything
I just wanted to rant because I'm trying to find different ways to release my emotions
plus I kind of needed a ray of optimism
thank you, all of you
also, my brother let me borrow his shoes today and I found an old gift card I got for my birthday that I can use to get some better shoes |

@flunk
it's not just that she made fun of my shoes
I know I'm *kind of* poor
I've also been depressed because I wasn't even able to get my brother a birthday present with my own money. I had to use money that my mom loaned from the bank for rent and bills (because my mother lost her job and my dad hasn't been paying child support ) just to buy him something cheap.
so just being reminded about this upset me |
