@pwnzer
You're right. Poor grammar and spelling, not to mention poor layout of ideas.

Wow this thread really took off! Good job on the discussion everyone.
I see two things here.
1. Better filters I don't think the solution is zero filter. We do need to catch those bad words. However, we could have a smarter filter that recognizes your age and allows you to type and see words based on that. What do you think of that idea?
2. First amendment rights OMG come on guys. The US Constitution and Amendments are a set of rules of how US GOVERNMENTS (federal and state) can interact with and control their citizens. It has nothing - absolutely nothing - to do with how companies that have forums and chat rooms control what people say there. |

@Reese:
I feel that a reduced filter might be problematic for ROBLOX. It is already obvious that users fake their ages to 13+ in order to not be placed under Privacy Mode, and having a reduced filter with age, even 16 or 18+, will cause users to continue to fake their ages in order to receive this privilege.
This could also cause issues with ROBLOX not being considered as child friendly as it is right now, as parents who find out their child is able to view various profanities (even though the user probably faked his age) might consider not letting their child continue playing -and gives ROBLOX one less potential paying customer. |

| First, this is a kids game. That's why this will never be fulfilled. Second, there's an appeals process. Third, the first amendment doesn't give you free speech - what it does is make it so CONGRESS cannot limit your speech, any private organization still can. |

| Darn, Reese beat me to my third point. It was pretty much all wrapped up before I even spoke. |
