if it is k=2 then implant that variable into the equation and then do the right side of the sigma then use the left number and multiply it by the right equations answer unless otherwise stated and for future help if there is a number on top of the sima then put all of the numbewrs as the variable k and add all of the answers together and multiply it by the left number so -----5 2sigma(2n-1) ---n=1 is 2(1)-1 = 1 +2(2)-1 = +3 +2(3)-1 = +5 +2(4)-1 = +7 +2(5)-1 = +9 ______ ___ 25 = --- 25 x2 ------ x2 ___ ___ 50 = 50 your answer !!!!!!!!

5Σ4k k=2
k 1-4 1+2+3+4 = 10 * 5 = 50
