I blame casuals for the close of LEGO Universe. By casuals, I mean the F2P people. I can understand being F2P for ROBLOX, but LEGO Universe membership was more fun than OBC could possibly be. I once saw a F2P on the LEGO Message Boards, and had to hide all the sadness these guys had caused me. Had LEGO Universe been a success, I'd still be with proper friends. I wouldn't be here, playing this game with it's horrible community. In fact, 3rdblox probably wouldn't even exist! Still, soon enough I'll be back with LEGO, and hopefully away from you guys forever. Anyways, back on topic... Casuals are considered the "noobs". Personally, I don't have anything against "noobs". What's wrong with being new? Do you hate babies because they're new to the world? As long as casuals don't go F2P on MMOs, I don't have anything against them. |

@3rdblox
There was more to the closing of LU than the F2Pers. For one, the game wasn't very great by any means. It could have used a bit more testing before releasing. Another reason is they seemed to have dedicated enough time to make a proper game out of it, which costs money. Now this is indeed good, but the target audience is not large enough by any means to make this profitable. Plus, you give someone the option to play for free they are going to take it. They should have just made it P2P or B2P. |

"CASUAL GAMERS SUCK, BECAUSE THE DEVELOPERS WASTE TIME ON BAD GAMES, AND NOT GOOD NEW GAMES."
The video game industry is made for entertainment.
Edutainment, Casual Puzzle, whatever.
They should be blaming THE COMPANIES FOR MAKING casual games, and maybe for once stop blaming public demand.
It gets on my nerves. XD
"You're a casual gamer! Because you like Mario!" Said an idiot. "Yes! Continue with your games, I'll continue having fun with mine!" Said Naktarra |

"Companies are not always out to make entertainment"
Yes, but to make a game, they need to make it good.
OF COURSE THEY WANT MORE MONEY.
That's why they're a company! Companies happen to do that.
Ya know. Make money and all.
It's kinda a world wide thing, ya know? Making money. I like eating, I kinda like wearing clothing, we'rea ll good if we got money. So the companies want 'em too, even if they're also focussing on entertainment. o3o

EA, makes the same thing every year, and people are dumb enough to buy. We could say the same about COD, they know they have them droned, so they'll make money off of it.
If the companies want to make money, at least try to do it with good business ethics. A casual game is generally boring, and require no complexity to it or commitment. Casual games are not good, they are terrible. |

@Blocker
Casual games are for people who want to be more relaxed when playing
I don't see the problem
Also
>Implying CoD BO2 didn't have a lot of new changes
You can't expect a huge, drastic change to CoD. They're listening to what the community wants. That means new guns, maps, killstreaks, perks, etc. The Campaign on BO2 also changed quite a bit |

"It's the hardcore game maker companies' fault for making hardcore games like Dark Souls!" - Said by no one ever But if "hardcore" games never existed casual games probably wouldn't be hated so much, and the definition of casual would probably be changed drastically.
Ride now! Ride now! Ride! Ride to ruin! And the world's ending! Forth, Eorlingas! |
