First of all... Most of you may say "tl;dr," but bear with me please...
---
Hello and good day, fellow ROBLOXians,
As you know, ROBLOX is full of a large handful of entrepreneurs and artists...
But what do these two kinds of users have in common?... Well, they value their work.
But... there is no guarantee that they can protect their work, once it is released on this site...
So, I propose the **R.U.C.S. (The ROBLOXian User Copyright System)**.
*Let me dive a little deeper into how this would function...*
Let's say that you just made a place...
You are extremely proud of it, and it took a large portion of your time to make...
But, a user comes to your game... exploits... and published an exact copy of it...
This is a regular occurrence for builders... And they can hardly do anything about it.
So, let's factor in the R.U.C.S. You just made a place, you are extremely proud of it, and it took you a rather long time to make.
Instead of clicking "publish to ROBLOX"... You should click "generate place code"...
This will generate a unique series of numbers to represent your place...
Next, you go to the configuration screen of your game...
You scroll down to the bottom and click "Submit for copyright"... (before you register, this link will be the color “red”...
The first time you click this, it brings you to a registration page on a website along the lines of “roblox copyright”... where you make a profile for your claims...
You must provide the username and p.a.s.s. of what you claim as “your account.”... and it must CURRENTLY have some form of Builder’s Club, and that account must be verified with an email address.
After the registration is complete, the “submit for copyright” link will be green...
So, next you click the now green link, and it brings you to a secure page to “make a claim” on your game.
You put in a description, upload a few screenshots (subject to image moderation if applicable), name(s) of the place builder(s), and submit it...
An email regarding the submission will be sent the email you have registered with ROBLOX, alerting you if your claim was denied or approved and pending authorization... (Note: one reason of your claim being denied is that you either copied an already “copyrighted” game, or a game without copyright that is well known...)
If it is pending authorization, you will be instructed further... these instructions include contact information such as phone number and mailing add. ress... (not to be given to third parties)... The system will save this information, and it will not have to be reentered for future claims...
Shortly after this, you will receive an automated call and you will be sent an email. with a secure link...
The call will provide you with a code that the website in the link shall ask for... once this code is submitted, you will receive a “SUCCESS” email, and the place will be added to the “claims” folder on your copyright website account...
Also note, that you CANNOT “uncopylock” your place... and every update you make to it will be a SEPARATE CLAIM.
Now, if you ever see a place that looks nearly identical to yours... You are to copy the place ID... Then go to your copyright account., click “infringement-reports”, click “new report”, enter the ID and a few notes, and submit.
ROBLOX will review the place to see if it infringes on your claim... If it is found that it does, the place will be content deleted, and that user’s acnt. will be temporarily frozen, and a “COPYRIGHT NOTICE” will appear on their screen... once they hit, “REACTIVATE”, that place will be converted to a baseplate, and content deleted on both the title and description...
---
**R.U.C.S. is still a work in progress... in the future, some edits to this draft may be made... Please note: the process is nearly the same for decals and shirts/pants/models...**
---
Thank you for reading... let me know your thoughts... |

Plenty of flaws with this.
1. You want moderators, who already have to wade through loads of reported places and posts to deal with your pathetic whining because somebody took something you posted freely to the forever servers of the internet? This is your problem.
2. As soon as you post anything to the internet, it is there and it is now the copyright of anyone who feels the exact desire to use it. This is for free things. If you so dearly want to keep your things dear, charge money for them like game devs.
tl;dr Your system is flawed by forcing more work on admins and overall you have put it up, so therefore it is anyone who wants to use it. |

So? Still having to review a whole another piece of content is going to be plenty of work when they have to fight through forum posts and inappropriate places. Not to mention you ignored the entire other point.
The whole aspect is flawed and idiotic, nor will it ever be implemented. |

They have thought of a community copyright system. The problem is the balance and time, which you havn't solved.
... (Do not show him my version... Do not show him my version... Last time I did that to someone suggesting a trading system and I showed him HOTS I was trolled out of S&I for ages...) |

Ryan... your posts on this thread were half information, half insult... As I mentioned before, this is a DRAFT... Not a final copy... it is a basic idea... from which, I will build up a stronger, less-abusable system.

@Frozen
I realize their are many holes, such as this, at the current time... however, I am doing my best to patch the flaws in the plan as I progress through this project... |

I can see no way for you to fix something so flawed that can never even work.
So they'd have to deal with infringement reports. YOU have put anything on the internet and it is now free enterprise of whoever feels to use it under the creation of the internet and the fact it's sourced by everything and so more. If you don't want people stealing it, make it private or don't ever open it at all buddy. Copyright is a real law system for real products despite that, not for people who cry because they had their pathetic idea used and possibly bettered. This is how the world works. One takes another idea, and perhaps even betters it for competition.
Oh by the way if I offended you in anyway, that's too bad go cry about it. |

Ryan... unless you are going to propose something that you consider more plausible, your posts are nearly meaningless...
And you did not offend me... You just annoy me...
The end of your post clearly signifies the lack of maturity you have, and it shows that fact that you have no desire to help at all... |

My whole desire is to actually point out the whole system you have is flawed, and especially flawed for a draft. Why do I need to propose a new system when the current one works fine? And it seems you didn't read that I said the idea isn't needed at all because you put it on the internet for free, anyone can use it.
Waah, having to resort to pick at my "maturity" because I pointed out the holes in your logic. Good job, kiddo. |

Ryann... I have come to the conclusion that you are either really good at messing with people, or you are bi-polar...
You know that I didn't "pick at your maturity" for pointing out "holes" in my logic... It was because of the last sentence of the post, which only was there for "troll" reasons.
And data, thank you. |

Oh man, it was for troll reasons? Jesus you're either really dumb, ignorant, or desperate to find a backdoor to avoid the fact that your whole system is flawed. The idea is pathetic, and my point still stands that as long as it is free on the internet, it's there for anyone to enterprise or take.
Also you really don't know what a troll is, because that isn't even close to what I'm doing. |

| The "good system" is the fact that as long as it is free on the internet, it is free for anyone to enterprise unless you set a price which is against the rules. Face it, it's free to use and all you can do is complain or keep your place locked to friends. |

Ryan, it is rather difficult to pay attention to the actual meaningful details of your post... when the most memorable parts are only meant to be "trollish"..
>you are really dumb, ignorant, or desperate
You do realize dumb and ignorant are synonyms, right?... |

| Dumb and ignorant are two different things, thanks for proving my whole point. You really don't know what a troll is and I'm not sure why I'm going to argue with you when you can't even understand the basic things. Either you can't take criticism or you're just really, really stupid. And I'm not even trolling here, I'm being 100% serious. You are just so thick-skulled, ugh. |

Ryan... I am ending this, because I know you will never stop... And in comparison to "desperate" in your listing example, those two terms are far too close together...
I am not going to be the host of your parasitic, meaningless comments that have no place on this thread...
