| I'm taking AP CompSci next year (I'm going into 10th), have any of you taken it? Is it worth the time or should I forget it and just take Visual Basic with my friend for a fun year? |

I had fun in it. Part of that may have been my teacher though.
If you can script well on Roblox and have any experience at all with OOP and a C-like language, you should pick it up pretty much without effort. |

@Arceus
You have my sympathy. Mine seems to be in the process of doing away with them.
Then the only programming experience will be True Basic.
I dare you to Google True Basic.
Now that you're horrified, imagine programming in that on a horribly out of date and buggy IDE that basically amounts to Notepad with a run button.
Oh, it also regularly goes into a state where saves silently fail and you can't copy and paste. You lose all progress since your last save, and there is no auto save. Also, running the code occasionally deletes the source file.

My school was like that too q-q Although now I do online schooling, so i have this game design class, wasn't sure what it was going to be like ,but unfortunately its rather basic, using a game maker called multi-media fusion 2.... no actual coding involved, makes me sad, but at least its easy, although kinda annoying because theres things i want to do but are simply impossible with its drag and drop conditions :C |

That feel when I'm the most technologically advanced person in my entire school and nobody thinks so.

^ YES YES YES YES YES!
Why doesn't your friend take AP programming classes with you Joal? I wouldn't do Visual Basic, you can meet new friends in your advanced class.
My school has this in sophomore too, but it's either Java or Visual Basic |

| hm, now that i think of it... i don't think i know a single person who knows any computer language. Living in a somewhat rural area may be a factor in that... |

| Do you have any other classes with your friend? I wouldn't take VB - you go to school for the experience. |

| Haha no I don't, we see each other in school sometimes though, and we play ROBLOX together a lot which is pretty much the same quality of interaction as what we would have in school thanks to wordfilters, so it's whatever. |
