A lot of times when the current adults were teenagers, most of them had the long and luscious hair. Then when they're middle aged, they either just decide to shave it bald or cut it extremely short.

My dad used to have an afro when he was little and growing up. Like after they had me or so, my dad shaved his head bald.

Heck my band teacher has short hair now, even though his hair was really long in high school.

Dude, it's not because they're getting older, it's because the times are changing. People in the 60s had different hair than they did in the 70s. People in the 70s had different hair than they did in the 80s. My parents, for instance, grew up in the 70s and the 80s. Do you think an 80s hair cut would still be popular in, say, 2005?
