Atheist: Definitely no god. Theist: Definitely a god.
You're both trying to give an absolute answer for something extremely complex with what little information we already have.
Don't waste your time trying to find the absolute answer, when you can make yourself useful and do something that promotes the human race.
Agnosticism FTW. |

I find that to be rather hypocritical.
You're not helping at all by posting more threads related to it. |

I plan on becoming Immortal so I can disprove god, and be epic at the same time
My plan is brilliant. |

| Reason why I believe there is no god: Because there is nothing to justify that there is a god besides some guys in ancient times saying there was. If every christian today was atheist, and the only religions left were Hinduism, Judaism, and Buddhism, then chances are you would be an Atheist, not agnostic. Most agnostics I meet are agnostic because they are afraid of hell. Keep in mind I said most not all. |

I have nothing against any religion, or lack thereof.
Just individuals who attack others for differences.
So you're perfectly fine.
But as far as your post goes...
Pretty much. Either side is a bit of a leap. Some of us want to take it, I guess. |

I am telling them to get over it and do better things than argue with each other. But thanks for taking the time to try to understand the message before replying. |

It's obvious to realise there's a god.
Who created the world and us.
Can you justify that! |

@Block
Then they are not agnostics. They may CLAIM they are agnostic, but an agnostic does not believe in hell.
Well, I believe in hell, but I see it as the core of our planet. Not an eternal prison. |

As if you posting this to '[tell] them to get over it and do better things' is going to halt their actions.
The only way to cease everyone's discussion of it is to report any threads related to it, as well as ignore it.
While your intentions may be good-natured, it didn't provide anything. |

@wakbob
There's a number of theories as to how our world was made.
In my opinion, evolution is possible, but with all the things we see around us, a mindless system creating all those amazing things, the chances are so slim I don't buy it.
Point is, there's no evidence of 'someone' making the earth. There's a theory, that is all.
Until 'god' presents himself in the open, there's no way of telling. |

Awkward moment when some of us here don't believe in a Hell.
So... when we're told that we'll be sent to Hell...
It can be interpreted as...
"You're going to strapped down to a chair in a dark, wet room, with your eyes taped open, and watching the Spice Girls movie"? |

@Strieken
Doing what I am doing, this strategy has helped a lot of people I know to stop arguing and come to a middle ground. You've never tried this I assume, so you'll have to wait and see. It'll pass, you just have to be patient.
Also, reporting a thread does nothing, it will get it deleted, sure, but they will continue arguing for as long as they want. |

Well just think about this:
If we had to prove we were innocent in court, rather then being proven guilty, then wouldn't millions of innocents go to jail, and possibly even executed?
If you had to prove something doesn't exist, then doesn't that make most scientific theories and arguments even more valid then they were previously (including the false ones)? |
