If all traces of science instantly vanished and humanity had to start over, we'd eventually find these scientific truths again.
If all traces of religion vanished, then there would still be religion, but it wouldn't be the same.

THE NAMES WOULD BE DIFFERENT MAN
OUR X
WOULD BE THEIR Y
PRETTY MUCH WHAT ALL RELIGIONS DO TOO

No, if you actually study religions, you see how vastly different they are. The only similarities is that there is a higher power.
Why not look at the two most closely related ones, the old testament (Judaism) and the new testament (Christianity)?

Yes, but they still all conclude there is a higher power.
And, science would go bit by bit, correct?
Discovering this leads to that. Religion would do the same, you conclude there are higher beings, you then get more ideas, and conclude that there is only one higher being.
I'm an Atheist, but I'm just showing that everything is more alike than it seems.

Yes, but they still all conclude there is a higher power. --------------------------------------- yes thats what the definition of religion is good work. there still wouldnt be stories about adam and eve and the rest of those magical bible people

"what the hell are you talking about"
You learn a piece, which teaches you more in science.
So, we learned about the elements, then learned about chemical reactions, which lead to learning how to use it in combat.
In religion, the same happens:
You find out you don't know what came before, then you have the idea that gods made it, then you have the idea one God made it all.
It functions so similarly.

"Hinduism -( More than one god )"
It really depends.
I personally think that Hinduism is a monotheistic religion due to the fact that their other "gods" are actually avatars/forms of their one true god, Brahma. |
