| Expect a release after Android. It may be a while, talking late-2014 and maybe even early 2015. |

| Possibly never, Windows phones have been known to have a very limited user base. |

| Certainly, but I was taking into consideration the low app base, user base, and general level of hardware. It might happen, it might not. |

Within the next decade Microsoft is putting all their resources into the mobile platform, including the Windows Phone and the Surface.
I would not be surprised at all to see the user base sky rocket as Microsoft markets themselves and raises the current level of hardware. And by 2015 that should be accomplished. |

| Your not considering that other companies are moving into the mobile world, Ubuntu is coming out on phones quite soon, there are multiple Linux tablets coming out, Android has the market quite well controlled, and Apple has yet to die(Though it should), Microsoft is moving into Mobile mostly on Arm which sets them on a level playing field with everyone else already established, so I doubt they will expand well into the mobile market. |

There's nothing being gained from arguing about how well Microsoft will do in the Mobile Market. I'm just using the knowledge I've gained on what Microsoft wants to do in the next decade.
We will only have to wait an see. |

| And you are completely right, there are already a ton of contenders and the mobile market is only going to get more crowded. |

| That's because it is one of the newer and more important markets, luckily the competition means it will most likely force them to make better operating systems and software along with more advanced hardware. |

I expect the UbuntuOS to go quite far. However, I expect FirefoxOS to fail and end up being part of the Dual-Boot OS Phone Initiative.
iOS will always stay in the market and so will Android. Especially they just keep getting better. |

| Personally I have both iOS and Android, I prefer Android for the openess, but you can't beat iOS for the fact it is idiot proof. Ubuntu for Phones kinda sucks, it is essentially Android rather than being a true GNU/Linux OS, it is good as for a mobile OS but I expected a bit more from Ubuntu, unfortunatly FirefoxOS just doesn't have the backing to get great, might be fun to play with but it won't get into the major markets. |
