Without scripting... I am really trying to figure this out... an example of what I am going for is at Asimo3089's The Wind...

Put a 1x0.4x1 block in top and bottom corner of doorway. Put hinges on the bottom of the top part and the top of the bottom part. Now build a door or just stick a part in the doorway. If you build the door ,group it and weld it before putting it on the hinges.
Using a single part as the door will have a 0.4 gap at top and bottom, you can fill this in with plates on the doorway or weld something to the door. You could also CFrame the hinge parts into the doorway.
This door will open when someone walks through but it will take a script to make it return to the closed position.
In my whitecastle freemodel there is a scripted swinging door. Also found in my "ITFOR" game. |

| Alright, thank you very much. What script do I use to make it return though... |

| I'm not sure you would have to freemodel to find that out. There was an old basic template that had a swinging door with close script in it. One of the happy towns of roblox. |

| Just a random suggestion - put invisible not colliding block on the door and insert bodyforce in it with small value of force. It will make door return to the position if force is high enough to overpass friction and low enough not to break the hinges. |
