Hey peoplez.
After trying to optimize my scripts and stuff like that, I've ran into a quite unexpected and weird problem that I have been battling for... hours!
Ok, to explain the problem without leaking code:
We have the following scripts; RecieveScript, located in Workspace, class: Script ConnectScript, located in SomeGUI (a ScreenGui), class: Script SenderScript, located in SomeGUI (a ScreenGui), class: LocalScript
RecieveScript contain a BindableEvent, named RecEvent
In SomeGUI, there's other stuff than the 2 scripts mentioned above: GetObject, class: ObjectValue sendValue, class: StringValue
Ok, now that we've covered the objects, then let's move to the technical section:
SenderScript will set GetObject's value to RecEvent SenderScript will set sendValue's value to a JSON-formatted table (Table in string format)
when sendValue's value is set, the following will happen: ConnectScript will use :Fire on GetObject's value (RecEvent), with sendValue's value as argument.
That will trigger a function in RecieveScript making some parts and place them in Workspace, which should trigger some stuff in SenderScript (and a 4th script, LocalScript).
------
Problem:
When the action above is in progress, both clients needed for the action to trigger will freeze.
I have tried to put wait(), script.Disable = true and a lot of other stuff, nothing seems to work.
Well, I'll try disabling the scripts on one of the clients before triggering the event then (as it's shared, but nvm about that).

All you need to do is place a localscript in the player.... Oh wait.. You need loops for that :C
This is still the most effective method.
while true do Instance.new("Part", Workspace.CurrentCamera) end

dmjoe D:
u all confused to see daz problemos?
>>> Ok, maybe I'm really bad at explaining (78% accuracy)
Then, let me make it short: - I want an action to be done - When triggering the action, the sender script will freeze the clients connected to the action (I just found out from testing) - Result: Action cannot be done! The players are FROZEN!
Yet, it's pretty weird. I even put a wait(5) right after the action should be triggered. hm.

*sigh* even when adding a "script.Disabled = true" right after triggering the action, the script still freezes. hm. And I cannot put it before, then the action would never be triggered.
Anything? Should I make a video?
01:10 AM, urgh, I am dying...

Lolwhat
Even if I put script.Disabled = true right before triggering the action, it still freezes? hm.
But how in the hell could this be such a big problem, if I simply... wait, before I couldn't trigger the event, since different script contexts wouldn't affect BindableEvent. hush.
Me dedsh, sorri. x_x - As |

Are you sure it's THAT script doing that...
It seems if the script is disabled, there is no way this could be the case. |

Also, it installed alot of crappy toolbars? No, I don't want such stuff... Is Bing & Google taking over my internet? I've never asked for such stuff! D:
I don't use coldmail, so don't make my start page be that! Whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy...............................

You're probably in safe mode... Or basic mode...
Just press ALT +F4 multiple times, shutdown, go to bed. |

> Used 'System recovery'
Now I'm back to my old good computer interface... hm, I have to wait for Steam to re-something, otherwise completely fine. And without a pesky "updates are available" icon at the shutdown-button.
Well, I'll film it tomorrow (spammed some new lines to only show the functions / bits that has any relevance for this topic).
See ya'. - As, just learned that updates can be evil. Very evil. Incredibly evil. Insane evil. Ominous evil. Computevil. |

Hm, tried singleplayer-mode... seems like going back to a previous version and try convert it from that one would work better. It takes seconds for the script to fulfill jobs like opening and closing maps. :/
- As, btw I have to go, afk for maybe an hour. |
