Or a site that lets me pick parts, but assembles it for me. I was planning to build my own, but I'm afraid I'll fudge it up and end up with a disfunctional computer.
It doesn't have to be a superb computer, since I'm planning to eventually upgrade it anyway. However, it does need to be able to run The Elder Scrolls (and perhaps Fallout) heavily modded in addition to numerous classic cRPGs, and I may check out Valve's stuff as well. |

Yea, ChillBlast would be a good site for the UK.
For the US CyberPowerPC and iBuyPower are the only decent sites I've come across, though be weary as they are still quite a rip off.
Though don't be afraid of building it yourself. Just be sure to build in a room with no carpet. If you have no rooms without carpet (save the bathroom, but who wants to build there) then just wear rubber soled shoes. In either case touch the side of the case regularly and don't touch the gold teeth. You should be just fine.
Hell, I've even touched the gold teeth mistakenly several times and my parts still work. (Not recommended, just don't fret if you do for a second or two on accident) |

"Could also try Scan for the UK."
I thought Scan only sold parts? Do they also build custom computers, or just sell prebuilts? |

http://www.roblox.com/Forum/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=88995417 Second page, also, this is just a cheap one. If you want good specs cheap, then I suggest you just build it. If you want good specs but somewhere around $100-$200 more expensive & prebuilt, then..
iBuyPower/CyberPowerPC (only US), but it's rather risky ordering from them as they have mixed reviews, about their pretty much everything, PCs, customer service, etc. |

my first thing remotely close to a custom built was a cyberpowerpc from 2010 running on an athlon 640 and a geforce 210 with a crappy ricer case. it has evolved to a true custom built over the years.
the only things from it still in use today are the hard and optical drives. |

iBuypower has crap graphics cards if you don't pay a lot of money Cyberpowerpc is worse.
Look at this:

cyberpower and ibuypower are good in the fact that they use actual motherboards that are overclockable
no OEM locked down junk boards |

I understand you can put together a PC in just a few hours... but that's if you have the parts there.
It takes time to get everything, and even longer if you want to save as much as you can and wait for parts to go on sale.
Usually buying a new computer is quicker than building your own. Just not cheaper. |

why would you pay someone $100 or more to build your computer
if you start building the computer, you obviously have all parts to put there
it's hard to find a part that you need or want that isn't on sale
