| At first, I dismissed this game as another generic military shooter, but it has gotten such good reviews, I wish to play it myself. Is it worth the money, or should I just ignore it? |

| Eh, the reviews I've seen on the game were rather mixed. |

It's a bad game shooting wise, but you only buy it for the story.
Think Walking dead but even more depressing. |

It is FAR from the Walking Dead. that's a horrible reveiw. I'll give me review for it here:
SO:TL has a good plot to it, but the engine is somewhat confusing at times. The enemies also seem to difficult or too easy at other times, but the latest patch has fixed that. If you're not a fan of Gears of War, or don't like Third-PersonShooters, don't get SO:TL. The aiming system is rather unique, implelmenting people to pace shots, not fire full auto and expect you to hit targets and have ammo for it. <---I like this style better The Single-player does get boring after awhile, so go play MP or something, If you're getting this for console, give it a try by renting it first/try the demo If you're getting this for PC, play the demo and make sure your PC can handle it. Buy it during the Steam Summer sale if you want. |

No, don't try the demo and MP. EVER.
The demo doesn't show the huge selling point (The games heavily dark story)
The MP just pretends it's selling point doesn't exist (The single player even mocks the common "YEAH AMERICA!!" themes in many games!)
When it's on sale it's around $10, but the Singleplayer is all you need. If you can, just rent it for the xbox or PS3, since it won't take you long (And trust me, it's worth the ending.) |

-The shooting/gameplay is generic but still solid -The story/way it's told is only second to the witcher 2 IMO. |

The game is mocking the "Yeah America!" It's not following CoD's play style as "The Americans are, and will always be good and never do anything bad!"
The Demo was created to show people what the game is going to look and feel like. They aren't supposed to always tell the storyline. Whe nthe Half-Life demo was released, it had nothing to do with the storyline. When the Just Cause demo was released, it had nothing to the with the actualy game that was being created!
And what do you mean the MP pretends its selling point doesn't exist? The multiplayer doesn't have to based off the single player, if that's what you mean. CoD's MP is not related to the SP campaign in anyway! Same goes for Battlefield and Halo. |

| Spec Ops: The Line shows people that war is terrible, and in reality, there are no "AMERICAN HEROES WHOOO!". |

| I whould get it if your tired of the "Sav teh world!!1" trend that games nowadays put into there stories. SO:The lines story is very unique and anyone who likes militairy movies should get it. But the multiplayer is blaah. |
