Hello, today I am going to explain why ROBLOX is forcing Studio 2013, and why they aren't "listening" to you.
>Why can't ROBLOX Studio 2013 be optional? (Allow us to choose between 2013, 2.0, and 1.0)
-Because, ROBLOX Studio 1 is much less capable of cross-platform stability. It takes too much time and money for ROBLOX to update three different programs every time they have an in-game update, new RBX.Lua feature, or a new building feature. Would you ever want to have to update 3 different versions of something just to please some people?
>Why isn't ROBLOX listening to us?
-Because you are only insulting the ROBLOX admin's work. This forum section is for constructive criticism on ROBLOX Studio 2013. All you guys are doing is "Hating" on it. That doesn't help the development of RS 2013, so technically it is spam.
Here is the solution to both of these issues: Post the bugs you experience. If ROBLOX Studio 2013 is crap now, then they obviously need to fix it. Meaning they need to know what exactly is wrong. Just saying that it sucks and needs to go away doesn't do anything helpful. Critique does.
If you ever built a place and worked really hard on it on ROBLOX, and then you were told it sucked and you should just delete it... How would you feel? Wouldn't you want to know how to improve it too? |

A week wasted is a lot of money wasted in the real world. That's how I feel about my building. Once ROBLOX noticed all of these glitches, 1.0 should of been put back up without removing 2013, as more people tend to be less glitchy on 1.0 compared to 2.0, around 1000:1 a week ago, probably around 10:1 now. I "insult" the admins as you say it as because pre-BC games, updates WORKED. Now every update DOESN'T WORK. Two years of glitchy updates is pretty poor compared to four years of excellence. You should know this yourself 08er. Plus, who says they have to update 1.0? It is pretty old and works fine and the only updates were probably for MAC users. I've never crashed on 1.0 but 2.0 is every time.
"..three different programs..." - Two, not three. "...just to please some people?" - Some? Ha, I wish. That would be A LOT.
Please stop posting multiple threads as to why 2013 is currently better as it is NOT. MANY updates are needed for it to be better and once it is, THEN I'll be happy. I'm just glad they are immediately working on this instead of waiting 2 months like with DLL. |

They would have to update Studio 1, 2, and 2013 (that makes 3) if they updated something within RBX.Lua to allow it to be used in studio. (which is where most scripting is done.)
I'm not saying why studio 2013 is better, though in my opinion it is. I'm saying why the complaining needs to stop. |
