| There have been many times where I was playing my game and got an error printed out in the Roblox Error Checking Gui. Sometimes I can't solve the problem on my own, and so I need to post it here, but it gets tedious typing out the whole error every time. Is there a way to display text in Play mode that I can select and copy to my clipboard? Perhaps even save to a .txt file? |

| Currently, there isn't a way. If ROBLOX allowed us to access the clipboard then there would be a way, even just click-dragging the mouse over a textbox would suffice. |

The trouble is, it isn't set out like a text document, more like a set of images, and it would be difficult for ROBLOX to allow you to select all the images together, and then when you press Ctrl+C for it all to be converted. It's too much effort for a feature that isn't essential.

So each character is stored as an image? Much like Minecraft, it seems like. Well, allowing access to the Clipboard would be a much better method. For instance, you could have a button under a TextLabel saying: Copy to clipboard, and the script for it would be somthing like this:
script.Parent.MouseButton1Down:connect( function() game.Players.LocalPlayer:GetClipboard().Put(script.Parent.Parent.TextLabel.Text) end )
I'm not sure if the functions/methods would look like that though. It might be even under the mouse object. |
