| Where should I start? The game, the comic, or the show? |

It honestly doesn't matter.
The television series whilst great has diverged from the comics to a great degree, it's practically a different universe. I would recommend watching the show first, as they're easier to find, and read the comics whenever. The video game is set within the realm of the comics, but is an entirely separate adventure so that can be played whenever as well.

| I guess I'll watch the show first, then. |

Read the comic first actually,
The show will take longer to catch up with. |

| The comics are currently up to Volume 18 (and have numerous spin-offs, and novel prequels) whilst the show is on its third season. How will it take longer to catch up, with the show? |

You can read a comic in 3 minutes or less.
There are 40 episodes of the show, and they're 45 minutes long each, |

"You can read a comic in 3 minutes or less."
Yeah, those who are flipping through the pages.
A comic like The Walking Dead (particularly in the volume sets) should be read in 10 minutes or more. No one should rush through them, I like to absorb every scene, look at every detail, and get a grasp on their situation.
And, finding them would take up a lot of the OP's time. |

Really, it depends on the art.
The style that Charlie Adlard has right now is scratchy, rough, and emphasizes the outline. It gets you to look at the characters more than the scenery.
You could simply get the Compendiums, btw.
They're all the way to issue 96.
