Okay, it's been around for a while, about being able to play ROBLOX on gaming consoles. We all know that there is an iOS version in development (for the iPhone, iPad, etc.). However, I thought I would consolidate all the "console ROBLOX" ideas out there into this.
Idea: Be Able To Play ROBLOX On Various Game Consoles
Which Consoles? - Probably PS3, Wii, and XBox 360
How To Add? PS3 - ROBLOX would be a free game downloadable through the PSN store. Wii - ROBLOX would be a "Wii Channel" downloadable through the Wii Shop Channel. XBox 360 - ROBLOX would be a free game downloadable through XBLA.
Control Schemes?
[PS3] Joystick 1 - Move Joystick 2 - Move Camera L1/R1 - Toggle Through Backpack Items L2/R2 - Function as Left-Click/Right-Click in PC Version (to use items, scope guns, etc.) X - Jump Square - Bring Up Game Menu Triangle - Take Screenshot Circle - Bring Up Chat Bar To Send Message In-Game L2 + Triangle - Begin Recording Video to PS3 System Memory; Press Again To Stop
[Wii] Nunchuk Joystick - Move Nunchuk Joystick + Z (on Nunchuk) - Move Camera 1/2 - Toggle Through Backpack Items A - Use Left-Click Feature Of Item (use/shoot/swing/etc.) C (on Nunchuk) - Use Right-Click Feature Of Item (scope/block/etc.) B - Bring Up Game Menu Direction Pad - Alternative Way Of Moving Camera
[XBox 360] Joystick 1 - Move Joystick 2 - Move Camera L1/R1 - Toggle Through Backpack Items L2/R2 - Function as Left-Click/Right-Click in PC Version (to use items, scope guns, etc.) A - Jump X - Bring Up Game Menu Y - Take Screenshot B - Bring Up Chat Bar To Send Message In-Game L2 + Y - Begin Recording Video to XBox 360 System Memory; Press Again To Stop
The ROBLOX channel on the Wii would also allow users to access the entire ROBLOX site interface in a Wii-friendly way. For PS3's and XBox's, there would have to be a separate ROBLOX component for PlayStation Network and XBox Live, respectively.
Thoughts? |

Support.
Just put the ROBLOX Wii game on the Wii Shop Channel. We should also get specific ROBLOX hats and gear for Xbox 360 characters to wear. |

What skrall is trying to say is that you need to explain your "no"
Because if you don't give a reason or if you give an invalid reason, it will seem as though you are saying "no" for no reason. |

Those are all the BASIC controls. What about the advanced ones, that such games like "Ultimate power" tend to have?

@starman -
It is my understanding that some of the consoles above (definitely the Wii, not sure about others) have some sort of USB connection on them. Somebody could easily plug in a regular keyboard in order to use the advanced controls.
Of course, if THAT didn't work, than console players would have to go without the games that have advanced controls.

"Which Consoles? - Probably PS3, Wii, and XBox 360"
When Roblox does come out for consoles, those consoles will probably be replaced with something new. Just sayin'.
I personally think it should be free too. Maybe something you can download from the Xbox arcade, Wii store and whatever PSN uses. |

Well, that would provide negative incentive to get it.
Also, the ROBLOX component would be available for free on all the content distribution channels of the platforms (being the PSN Store, Wii Shop Channel, and XBox Live Arcade).
I realize that there may be new consoles in the future, but I don't want to go making assumptions about the mechanics of the PlayStation 5 or something like that. |

What if you want to use fps like controls with wii we could use gamecube controler
NGC controller controls:
Control stick: move/move pointer A: jump/select C stick: move camera Z:Quit game/Main menu Y and Z: cycle gear L or R: Use gear D pad up: switch between pointer movement and character movement D pad down: enter chat/console (need usb keyboard to work) D pad left: show players/send friend request D pad right: show gear backpack
Hopefully someone sees this |

1. Most of those don't support Lua. 2. Considering that it took them months just to make a website that helps you on the mobile internet browser that cannot even play the game it would be hard. 3. It would be hard to get around. |
