More than likely, anyone who goes on RT, OT, C&G, LMaD, or any other popular forum on ROBLOX knows the annoyance of F5-bombing. This is not just the forums, either; many users F5-bomb their own page or trick people into doing it for them to get profile views.
This here is the problem: whenever a user refreshes a page, that page gets an extra view. Pretty harmless, right?
WRONG.
One of the most annoying things I see on the forums is constant F5-bombing. It's happened at least once a week since I've been on RT alone. What are these guys foruming in, B-52s?
The point is, it's an issue and it needs to be fixed. But how?
It's simple: we change how the page counts views. The way I see it, a view should only count if another page was visited after the initial view. For example, refreshing your profile page would not give you another view; the only way to do that is to go to another page, such as the user's Friends, their Place, something in their Favourites, or an item in their Inventory, and then coming back to that page. Hitting the Back button would not do the trick either.
Now, I know what you're thinking: how can they do this?
The answer: I'm not sure, but the admins have a way with basing multiple site updates off of wild contradictions yet they somehow manage to work.
Hopefully, this idea will catch on and the admins will have solved a major nuisance in the forums: a step in the right direction for ROBLOX.
