| They both seem too different to judge which has better game-play. |

Preferences. I like CoD better, but I played since the first one, making me bias. The only use I find out of TF2 Now is selling Unusuals...

TF2. You actually need to play as a team and use tactics. On CoD, your team mostly consists of screaming children that refuse to do anything other than charge at the enemy and shoot them as they continue charging.

Tf2 if your looking for a bit more difficulty and team based game.
Cod for a fast paced shooter, where you may be a 'lone ranger' and just plainly kill people. |

aka 'i have never played a match of CoD before but loads of people hate it so it must be a bad game'
the point is that TF2 and CoD are different types of fps and are almost impossible to compare in terms of which one is 'better'
in terms of weaponry CoD bases itself around fine-tuning a basic loadout to have the edge in DPS or accuracy or defense or stealth whereas TF2 bases itself around dynamically different classes that have very clear roles (which can still be altered slightly with unlocks)
in terms of gameplay TF2 has a lot of movement and vertical gameplay with a lot of ways to help teammates but not many ways to fight the team onesself whereas CoD is less forgiving for when you get spotted but gives you more methods to get yourself out of a mess
and while TF2 has plenty of gamemodes CoD also has a few interesting gamemodes and has the advantage of supporting free-for-all
it's a matter of personal preference because you can have as much fun with either |

Well you can't compare them but I'll definitely give my opinion.
CoD was fun but now it's really getting out. It's the same fast paced shooter everyone keeps playing. I was pretty good at cod a while back but now it's just boring. The spawn systems in FFA suck, you cant go 3 kills without being killed so this leads to many people using camperish tactics, the new gamemodes arent fun, it just feels like a glorified TDM with an objective no one follows (aka kill confirmed) and the fanbase has just turned to 8 year olds trying to fit in with the crowd. I'll launch up COD, and only play 2 games max before I get bored and just do something else.
TF2 on the other hand, is a much better game for me. The idea of everyone performing a specific role in aiding the demoman, soldier, and heavy is amazing. Strategies are played out without even thinking because it just happens naturally with how well the classes are balanced. New unlocks provide new ways to play classes and it keeps the game fun. What I find funny with TF2 is it's been out for 5ish years and it's still enjoyable and hasnt died out yet, not to mention it's free, whether activision have been realising full price games every year with hardly any difference in them. They dont give the latest instalment any glory because they just kill it with a new release the following year. Their mindset is basically "money first, fans later" |

| Eh, Call of Duty isn't terrible, really. TF2 is a better game in my opinion, though. |

TF2: team-based shooter with a stronger economy than 11 countries, used by the Russian Mafia as a source of illegal activity (i'm not joking)
COD: mindless whackamole fast paced shooter where SMGs and snipers dominate
both good for different things but I prefer TF2, when I'm bored of playing it as a shooter it's playable as an economy simulator game

| TF2. You actually spend more time firing and putting up an honest effort than muting those 8-yr-olds that insult your orientation every five seconds. |

Drofti's right.
Though, I think a TF2 campaign would take it all home...

| TF2 is my prefrence, because in CoD, you just spam an SMG everywhere and things die. TF2, however, requires teamwork, skill, aim, and responibility. Also, the characters aren't so dull as most FPS game characters are. They say much more stuff than "Enemy Spotted" etc. |

| I say CoD since TF2 = hat & crate island. I'd rather play with babies instead of people who don't even focus on the main point of the game |
