@jett
Thats why we didn't reply to it and left it to die.
Now lets leave this to die. |

| That's not what he's saying at all. What he's saying is that a bad title attracts people, at least on this forum, because that's what you're accustom to; bad, generic titles. What he's saying here won't work anyway, because most people who make original threads, if given an unoriginal title, will just see the flocks come after they observe the title, and then run away again once they see the actually detailed text. Interest may be grasped by the first glance, but it's kept by something that the observer actually enjoys. This is why you will find that the majority of people on this forum will go for Hunger Games threads; no matter what it's called, as long as you put (Hunger Games Thread) next to it, it could be the most convoluted title you desire. |

I'm not sure you read what I just wrote - which in itself is case and point - so, I'll put it simply so you can actually tell me why you think that instead of just repeating yourself. No, it doesn't. Familiar titles attract people, and familiar on this forum is equivalent to generic and unoriginal. |

| Though I'm not too sure of the other RPers, that's not the case for me. I'd be far more attracted to something called "The Ruins of Rir" (Bad title, I know, but imagine if it had a better name instead of Rir. I'm bad at names.) than something called "Alien Invasion." |

| Oh absolutely. But then, there is the majority and the minority. And the majority here are the people who like generic threads. Which is why we have so many of them. |

I'd argue otherwise. I'd say that we have a lot of generic threads because they're much easier to make than because of people liking them more. Still, maybe we should look at the people who actually make generic threads and how long they've been here. It may just be that they are inexperienced, and just learning. I mean I remember when I was new to RP; I sure as hell wouldn't have joined a massive and elaborate thread for fear of getting lost in the plot. |

I suppose, yes. But then there's also people who have been here for a long time who are still making things like 'The School of Differences.'

| Well, do such RPs constantly get new joiners, or are they just made up of the same band of people every time? |

anyways on topic this actually isn't too bad of an idea, but it might make rp's community get a little dumbed down in the 'intelligence' spot of their brain but still a pretty nice idea
