""We want to make sure we have the best people in the best possible positions," Goodell said. "We didn't have the outcomes we wanted.""
>maybe they weren't qualified enough >maybe the coaches that were available were better >UMG WE NEED TO SIGN BLACK COACHES EVERYWHERE
they're doing fine as it is just because you didn't have a colored coach signed, doesn't mean it's an outrage.
if i remember, most of the best available coaches were all white?
i don't see it as wrong |

i'm not intending to be racist at all here
it's that if you have two candidates
one white one black
the white coach is better than the black coach. you go with the white coach.
now let's reverse it
the black coach is better than the white coach, i'd go with the black coach |

| The best coaches are usually white. In the Premier League, theres only ONE black manager. And theres none at all in the Champions League. |

it's a commonplace in America in general today
it's like we're trying to make up for all the wrongs we did, which we have
but we are almost giving the people that were the minorities more rights than the average white man
it frustrates me to see it sometimes |

America hasn't really "made up" for most of it, and half the country is still racist. America is better than some other countries about it, but its not even close to being a soundly resolved issue. |

@rune
the thing is though,
the average black man has more opportunities than the average white man. with all of the companies saying they have to sign black people, it's forcing other people out.
to the above point, i'm not being racist
if i had two people like i said with the coaches
one white one black
and the black was more qualified, i'd choose him
if the white man were more qualified, i'd choose him
now if i had a woman, a white man, and a black man, and the woman was more qualified, i'd pick the woman.
just my honest opinion. |

what did i say that was a stereotype? i'm not discounting the skill of black coaches. there are great black coaches out there. it's just that there were probably better white coaches out there. although, i do wish lovie smith was signed somewhere. he's a good one. |

I understand where your going there are some college scholarships for black people that i can apply for, and most likely get. yes we have some opportunities that white people don't, but to say we have more isn't really fair. if you bring this out into a broader spectrum, white people still have more benefits and opportunities, especially in social obligations and everyday life.

it's just im wishing people wouldn't get so riled up when there isn't a black coach signed |

@Rune
I guess what I'm getting at is the specific situations, such as the NFL's "Rooney Rule". It's a bit ridiculous that Goodell is complaining about it. |

================================ true cause in all reality everyone has suppressed thier racism in to these petty ideals and mindsets so that's its less dectable
I.e the new neo naze movement comes off as less voilent and ignorrant to appel to bigger bases
they still want all ethncities separated, just with out the voilence |

There is a reason that Hue Jackson, Romeo Cornell, and Raheem Morris were fired. They just weren't good!
Lovie Smith's firing surprised me though.

An idea of how I think.
Tony Dungy vs. Sean Payton
Both have one Super Bowl win.
Dungy's black Payton's white
Dungy with Manning and the Colts Payton with Brees and the Saints
They're pretty much even.
But based on the styles of coaching, I'd honestly go with Dungy, because I like the calm, quiet type of coaching he does.
Yeah, I know Dungy isn't coaching anymore, but he was a great coach when he was in the league. |

@Ddude
Consider it from this point of view though. Let's say there are two equal candidates for the head coaching job. Completely equal. One is black, one is white. The owner wants to appeal to the majority of his fanbase. Who do you think will be hired? |

| Let's say he's a coach in Indianapolis, where the majority of his fanbase is caucasian. |
