Personal preference, emoose. Both are generally the same when it comes to features.

@thecapac

no...

@op

it's much more feature rich, allows C#/VB.NET development which is probably faster than PHP, was specifically designed for robust websites whereas PHP was just started as a really simple thing and had thousands of other things just 'stuck' onto it which makes it bloated (Although it has a function for almost everything which can be considered a good though)

It also allows things like MVC much easier than PHP and if I remember right automatically sanitizes user input?

Oh, and unlike PHP you can use it's awesome server-side forms feature (Which is annoying-er in PHP) and also not have all your code jammed into the HTML and make the server-side files look ugly

Trapping is correct; ASP.NET does have quite a few advantages.

also I'm guessing you can use C++ with it but I can't confirm that. Maybe J# too.

Okay, let us be cereal for a moment.

ASP is more expensive and slower than PHP. Knowing this alone should turn you off ASP straight away. ASP can only run on Windows based platforms with IIS installed. You need to purchase both of these. Also, if you were to use a MySQL based database you would need to purchase a port when using ASP. Though, I don't deny that PHP has its flaws.

Therefore, PHP > ASP. ROBLOX is just pompous, yo. Need proof? I remember Telanoob being all poopy about his Stanford degree, requesting (more like demanding) all applicants must be a graduate of an Ivy League college.

ASP.NET isn't slow...it's only slow if you program like Roblox does.

Why do I have the feeling that Tenal only dislikes ASP because Microsoft made it.
