[REPOST]
Old one died, search system makes it hard to find it, laziness... so I'm just gonna retype it.
Anyway. I have recently seen a LOT of ideas on this forum regarding places with misleading titles. Many people want these places to be reportable, and I also believe that should happen, however I also came up with this alternative idea.
In the case of many places with misleading titles, they are not enjoyable. You might stay for a minute or two, but it won't be long before you just say "meh" and leave. However, the creator of that awful place still got a ticket from you.
So, I think it would be fair if game creators only got a ticket from players if they are in the game for 3-5 minutes. ROBLOX can decide on the exact time. This would encourage creators to make something at least mildly interesting, and also constantly make sure their games aren't broken.
Awhile ago, there was a place that looked immensely awesome from the title and the front picture, then we got there, and it was just a startermap. The creator got at least 50k tickets from that place, which is more than most NBCers make in their entire lifetime on ROBLOX. And he got that as a result of working for a few hours on a nice decal, and then giving it a nice name and description.
But the majority of those people would not have stayed very long, so it is likely that, if this feature had existed in that time, the creator would have only gotten 1-5k tickets off that place.
Still not sure about this idea? Here's some Q&A (a lot of people are doing this, so hey, I'll go mainstream too).
--
Q: What about the stupid noobs that stay in a place for more than 5 minutes because they expect something to happen?
A: Well, yes, that is still a problem. But for all the experienced players, they will know to quit immediately, because they will be aware that these types of places have nothing to offer. Plus, those more experienced players would also try to quit sooner on purpose because of this feature. However, even with those people that stay in the game expecting something (and then being disappointed), we'll still be able to decrease the profit of the creator by at least 20x.
--
Q: What if someone does find a game interesting, but only stays for a minute or two for some reason, like realizing he doesn't want to play, or doesn't have time for the game, etc?
A: The creator wouldn't deserve a ticket from those people, because they barely played his game at all. Why would the creator get money just because someone hits the play button? Making a game look appealing from the front isn't any hard work at all.
--
Q: What if the creator worked really hard on a game, but it's broken, making it impossible to play?
A: That's his own fault. The creator needs to test his game before he can expect to make any money off of it.

If you ask any of these questions or something similar, since I have already answered them, I will point you back to the original post.
Feedback, both positive and negative, is appreciated. |

| I think that would discourage false titles, but I don't think it would solve the issue. These games are on the front page because enough users are already joining the game and staying regardless of the title being false. I think this is an interesting thought, so thanks for the suggestions. |

@gordonrox
These games stay on the front page because there are several people constantly joining them. I highly doubt that anything above 10% of people stay for more than 5 minutes on a game that doesn't promise anything.
It doesn't completely solve the problem, but it solves most of it. Didn't you read the example I gave? Nobody stayed there for very long.
It also helps against people making 20% of their place and then presenting it as already finished. One guy got 4k tickets from a game that was just a basic, sparse map with a couple trees, with three broken guns, and glitched zombies. 4k tickets undeserved, in my opinion. |

"However, the creator of that awful place still got a ticket from you."
Its not like your losing anything...And what if you were in that creator's shoes. What if you were getting money off of an awful place?
Also anything that is on the first page is not getting there from 2 minute visits...They are there because there are close to 1000 users visiting the place at a single time and they are staying up there before the user count if not lowering too much. |

| I'm disagreeing. I find no harm in having people earn one ticket if someone visits their place, crap or not. |

@mathepa
There isn't any harm, but then there also isn't any harm in someone PGing an account, since all of the stuff we have is virtual.
The point is, to some people, tickets matter, and I think it's quite ridiculous for someone to make 50,000 tickets off a game that required barely any work from its owner. Especially since I work a lot more on my place (though I won't say I work hard, and I'm not a good builder/scripter), and I haven't even hit 200. |

I have that same problem. I think of it as my problem, not enough advertising and stuff.
In real life you either make the cheapest or the best items. Walmart makes cheap copies. Levi makes awesome jeans.
Its the same on roblox in ways. |

Overall, support.
What happens is that some minigame games or zombie games have a wait before you can play, and sometimes that can exceed 2 minutes, so the person wouldn't deserve the ticket anyway because the person waiting in the lobby couldn't play the game.
