This year, I'm going to get a PS2 or an N64 for Christmas. Should I get a PS2 or an N64? Here are the games I would want the console for:
(PS2): Klonoa 2: Lunatea's Veil Persona 4
(N64) Banjo-Kazooie Banjo-Tooie Donkey Kong 64 Conker's Bad Fur Day Jet Force Gemini
So... Which is the better console?

I like the N64 more, as I have never had a PS2... This might be the nostalgia speaking, but: TLOZ OOT and MM, Pokemon Stadium, Donkey Kong 64, Super Smash Bros.
Yeah... Might be nostalgia. Also, wouldn't it be more appropriate to compare N64 with PS1 or PS2 with Gamecube? |

I don't have a PS2 yet, so I'm going with N64..

| Eh, I'd say go with the PS2. I never owned an N64 and the few games I played on an emulator weren't anything special. |

I don't have a PS2, so N64. Besides, you listed more games from the N64 anyway. |

| No offense or anything but is either console really worth it? I mean the N64 came out in 94 ( I think?) It's hard to find games and all of the games you will find are outdated. |

@mage The date the console came out doesn't matter. It could still have good games anyway. I'm honestly leaning toward getting the N64.

| PS2 is more modern and has cheaper games, so it's probably the better choice of the two. |

"Modern=\= better"
it does when it directly results in being cheaper and being of the same or possibly higher quality |

Cheap=/=good game. There might be a cheap game that is bad and vise versa.

@Video Yep. Even if it's January, I can still get one in less then 12 months.

@meldo
higher quality and/or clone w/ worse controls (PS3 controller is basically the same as a PS2 one) =/= better game. |

@meldo Exactly. A game might be good on a tech. level, but still a boring game. I'm looking for FUN in my games, not for them to look good, be glitch free, or be varied.
