What happened to _G, it doesn't allow you to place the local keyword in front of it anymore, like:
local _G.hax = "noes"
It will give you this error: Workspace.Script:1: unexpected symbol near '.'
But this won't: _G.hax = "noes"
-
Since when was this removed? It used to work. Did I miss something? |

You can't establish a global variable if you declare it as local, derp.

| You can't use 'local' when adding a value to a table. |

| This is standard lua. That's because values in tables don't have scope . . . can't have scope . . . |

Assassination method: Place crowbar perfectly standing on a trashcan Some biker dude comes by and hits some kid that hits his head on the trashcan The crowbar falls onto the street Some ambulance runs over the crowbar sending it launching into the air Ambulance crashes into a building Crowbar goes down and hits his head

You can't just use local when you add values to tables. That's cause values in tables can't have scopes.

| It never would have worked; it's always been like that since tables and "local" were applied to Lua. |

I'm sure it was.
But it doesn't matter, it doesn't work (anymore)...that's all that matters. |

I still don't get the sense of this topic. Myrco, what are you actually trying to do? You didn't even tell the point why you made this topic. I really don't see a benefit of declaring a global variable into a local variable. It's not possible, that's all. It never worked, and it never will. |
