I'm so excited for this game! Luigi is probably my favorite character in the whole Mario series, it's great to see him back in his own game after over 10 years since the first Luigi's Mansion.
I kinda wish the game wasn't released on the 3DS, I'd rather have it on Wii or Wii U but hey, I'm glad they made it at all. From what I've seen there's actually a new Multiplayer aspect to the game that you can do locally or online, so happy! :-) |

| Totally agree that they should of released it on Wii/Wii U. Luigi's mansion was probably one of my favorite games. |

I'm excited. I don't like the idea of multiple tiny mansions, though. I preferred the classic RE-esque backtracking. |

I'm on the fence about this one
I never got to try the original, and nobody I know owns it, so sadly I'll have to rely on reviews, comments and gameplay footage to make up my mind
the gameplay does look entertaining though, camera positioning is excellent (can see everything going on in that room, and the 3D is likely to work well), and it sounds to me like there will be lots of replay value (multiplayer, multiple mansions etc)
anyone played the original, or know more about this sequel? |

The original was outstanding to me. Just a simple game starring Luigi.
I'll give you a basic run down of the story. Luigi won a mansion in some random contest he didn't enter so he invited Mario to come see it with him. He got there but Mario had been kidnapped by Ghosts/Boo/King Boo.
The gameplay is very linear, you have one path basically throughout the whole game. There is one big mansion whereas Dark Moon has multiple smaller mansions. You battle ghosts to save Mario and solve puzzles, pretty simple.
Now for Dark Moon. Apparently Dark Moon takes place a few years after the first Luigi's Mansion. The ghosts in this game before you actually start playing are friendly, but the "Dark Moon" is mysteriously smashed and they all turn evil. There are several different mansions but I'm guessing the gameplay is about the same as the first. King Boo is said to be the main antagonist in this one because he was in the first.
Well, hopefully that gives you an idea about Luigi's Mansion. |

| Same here... The idea of multiple mansions is cool but I would much rather have one big mansion. |

| If the game is like four times as long as the original, THEN I'm fine with the idea of multiple mansions. |
