Perious Skies: New Horizons is official underway and under heavy development now.
Here is a small summary of what the projected plan currently is:

- Plane-based (no characters, just like original perilous skies)
- Somewhat futuristic/concept
- Team vs. Team aerial dogfight
- Level setup not decided yet
- Plane animations (hopefully)
- Point-based games (probably will call the points 'Credits')
- Points scored from getting kills (fluctuates based on distance, weapon type, etc.)

Plane selection:
- No planes to choose from
- Everyone starts out with a basic plane
- Spend points on part upgrades
- Part upgrades will make the physical appearance change too (i.e. new wings, fuselage, etc.)
- Internal upgrades too (i.e. improve current engine, improve current wings, etc.)
- Ability to upgrade weapons as well

Controls:
- Ability to switch between Standard and Advanced
- Standard: normal Roblox plane controls (point mouse where you want to go)
- Advanced: mouse acts like joystick for more control (like my wingsuit in Freeflight)

Objectives:
- Possibly will add in side-objects rather than just only killing enemy planes
- Enemy AI boats perhaps?

How about adding boats for players? It might be tough, but it would add to the game.

@Techboy Aerial CTF wouldn't make any sense, but maybe Zone Control?

Yeah, zone control is something I've thought about. Sort of like in Battlefield 1943.

@da Its fine, you don't see it everywhere but generally what it is, is that a place in the middle or multiple places on a map are neutral and to gain control you have to kill all the enemies within that zone and hold it for a specific amount of time.

You may take it back if your team desires. The winning nature depends on the developer, whether he wants points to be tallied or you can change it completely and once the attacking team has complete control the defenders lose. But the only way this works is if the Defenders can't take the place back.

A cool thing to do that is that the excuse for the defenders to not have the ability to take it back is that the Attacker's boats move into that zone and provide anti-aircraft fire which gives the reason to not go back into that area.

tl;dr version:

How about checkpoint domination? Like, you have to capture checkpoints in the sky, and the longer you control them the more points you earn. And at the end of the game, the team with the most points wins.

i don't think this is what you are going for with this game, but adding bombers as chuck suggested is a great idea. you could have ground targets like ai-controlled tanks, ships, aa guns, and pill boxes which give you exp when destroyed.

i'm taking these ideas from the game 'War Thunder'

I like that idea. You start off with a base filled with tanks, troops, etc. and your job is to prevent the enemy from destroying them all.

i meant more that the ground targets would be scattered around the map and they would work like a TDM where the team that loses all their ground targets first loses.

another idea for a game mode would be a king of the hill (not unlike zone control) but where you capture runways/airbases by landing on them for a certain amount of time.

How about if we add decals avaibable to planes as:
strikers has a star
aces has an lighting
adding F-14,F-5,Su-35/37/34 and migs
and moveing aleirons but im sure crazyman can because he did some before

Maybe in another game, this is mainly air based and if he wanted to create plenty of lag he could create AI fighting each other.
