During the time period between 2046 and 2052, some scientists have came up with theory's about a huge science breakthrough. The technological wonder they speak of, will be the engineering of the human body's genetic code; In other words, commanding the body cells to replace themselves with cyborg - Or robot - parts. Theoretically, there will be human machines.

"In other words, commanding the body cells to replace themselves with cyborg - Or robot - parts."

We already have the capability to replace body parts with mechanical replica's but it's not presently nor will it ever be possible to replace CELLS with mechanical replicas, we simply couldn't build that small.

Frankly, cells are the technology of the future in that eventually the only way to continue to amp up our technological capabilities is to learn how to make organic technology, teach cells to respond to binary code. So with that said, there's still a lot to be done with biological cells, mechanical devices are already starting to appear in the rear view mirror.

@Texar:

Incorrect. Mitosis is an easily controlled reproductive system for cells and could easily be replicated by humans in a robotic component. We have computer chips that are too small for the naked eye, I'm sure in fifty years we could use cellular technology in that respect.
