We're not dying. We're not that bad. And that's not a lie.
I want to make everyone just wake up and smell the roses. Yes, we're inactive. I get it. Relax melodramatic C&Gers of 2008 - 2010. The problem with that, is you're saying it as a general statement applying to all of UCR. Be informed at the very least that activity isn't determined by place visits... It's determined by awareness and participation in a multitude of activities* (Donating, posting on the wall, conversing about UCR matters, etc) Just because you amount a lot of wasted time and effort inside a virtual battle ground doesn't mean your group is on the up and up. There is a ratio. Active to inactive. Being that I defined, in the most simple bare-bones way possible, what activity is, we can come to a reasonable ration between active and inactive. First things first, you need to understand the vast majority of UCR. I'm talking from deep in that intrepid base, where literally hundreds of our members are practically dormant, however dedicated and decorated UCR members. That is to say that the majority of "inactive" members by the actual definition of "active" are in fact more active than what the common eye tends to see. Now I'm not going to sit here and say that UCR's activity is better than any other clan. It's not. We're lacking participation through in game endeavor.
With all this in mind, one needs to first have a consensus. Mass advertise a UCR-wide consensus report to determine which UCRians are generally aware of UCR and their presence in it. Give it two months. In the first 31 days all those involved in taking the consensus will be considered active. The second 31 days, all participants of that length of time are considered semi-active. Obviously, through process of elimination we determine that those not taking aforementioned consensus within the time designated are inactive or unaware of their presence in UCR and vice versa.
Once then, we will have a definite figure to determine active or inactive as a general concept for UCR itself. Thereafter, we need to tackle that problem. Things get ugly before they get pretty. That's been a commonality throughout history.
Thank you everyone who wasn't too lazy or stupid to read this. This is the first of a series of reality checks for those both in and out of UCR. Perhaps this sparks a fire in your belly. Feel free to be a contender in the discussion, however remember that after all this isn't some baseless statement. On the contrary, it is more reasonable. As it happens, facts aren't something you argue... that wouldn't be very logical at least. |

You'd have to be alive in order to die.
You're so dead, you're a zombie. |

I'm going to submit that to the Guinness World Records for the silliest thing a single celled organism has ever attempted to make a cheap laugh of. |
