Re: Fortified in Death: Population: 10 And Dropping [ISRP]

There was once a popular town, in the middle of Alaska. Formally known as Mimi, it's population once skyrocketed. Now, it plummeted down like a good ole stock crash. Now the remaining ones left, survivors, nicknamed it Death. Nobody comes in; nobody comes out. Days in; days out. Weeks in; and weeks out. No help, no rescue, no nothing. But that shouldn't be much of a surprise, as with the downfall of Mimi, it was soon found that the world went to war. It was forgotten, but yet, they survived through the first and second war. Time wasn't spent on why or how it happened, until after the war. They found something rather disturbing, in the fact that it was unnatural for the time. The first ever missile, launched early. Many titles flew around the world, saying could it be? Germans refused to answer, but it was obvious that the technology they couldn't harness until world war two. Most European nations were too off at the angle anyway, so that leaves three prime choices. Australia, America, and Canada. That would be quite the shock; if it was found out that America fired the missile at Mimi. So like any good government conspiracy; and with time on the line, they decided to close up Mimi. They hoped the world would forget, and the survivors cannot escape. So America sent about two hundred crates of various supplies to the survivors, told to hunker down, and then a gas was released. Needless to say, many were killed. It wasn't the horrific part however...
November, 30th. First Dawn [6:14]
It started out as a good day, or however good it can get with dead bodies on the street, and many people were hanging around, laughing and having a grand time. People were slapping hands, and folks were having an enjoyable time. Some good pizza makers remained, and they decided to have a nice breakfast of hot pizza. The mood was grand; until they saw the planes. Then it went from grand to utter relief. Supply crates were dropped; must be a sign to hold out until they can get more back here. A few, curious men, wandered over to the crates. That's when the army decided to do a double play, and kill everyone else off, turning them into a highly classified being, that some might know as zombies [but oh, how you wouldn't recognize them], to take the remaining people on the city. Now, with your survivors you gathered up, and some supply crates, you head to a place to make your base. You narrow it down to four plausible options.
[1] A Two Story Home
A lovely Victorian two-story house, with paint peeling. The door is rather bad off, pretty splintered, and the windows are all broke, but with some wood, easy repairs. There is also a balcony, with metal barriers to keep people from falling off. Inside, there is a living room, with a couch [Sleeping Area], a TV [possible entertainment, if you have some video tapes, and an electrician], a coffee table [eating place]. Taking the hallway away from the living room, you come apon a bathroom, with a toilet [happiness [not living in poo]], and a sink [possible water source.]. Taking a right from there, leads you to a bedroom. It has a bed [two possible sleeping areas], a rug, and two dressers [storage]. Also on the bottom floor is a kitchen, with a pantry [storage], fridge [storage for cold food, if fixed by an electrician and technician.], a table [eating area], and a closet [storage]. On the second floor is only three rooms. One is a bedroom, with a TV [electrician needs to fix], bedroom [sleeping area], and two tables [eating area]. Also to be noted is that there are four board games on the ground. Monopoly [entertainment], Catan [strategy boost, and entertainment], a bunch of cards [entertainment], and Mouse-Trap [+entertainment]. The second bedroom is a simple bedroom with one one bed [sleeping area], and a wide closet [storage]. The final room is an empty one, carpetted, and it has a door which leads outside to the balcony. The balcony has two chairs, and obvious cover.
IN ALL: 5x Bedrooms, 2x TVS [both need repaired], 4x Tables, 1x Toilet, 1x Sink, 6x Storage Rooms, 1x Fridge [included with storage rooms], 4x Games.
Pros: Can sustain six people with beds and all, and maybe a seventh if you add the empty room. A balcony for easy guarding, and entertainment to go around.
Cons: Rather attractive to looters [if they ever do come by], windows and doors are crud [zombies, man, think zombies.], and most of the place is made out of wood. [Fire hazard? idk]
[2] A Barn
You might think, why not stay in the house? Well, its burned down. You still have the barn, which is pretty much a rather open space [infinity sleeping spots]. There is hay strewn around, and a loft with a window for snipers [loft]. The whole thing is made out of bricks, a strong choice. There are blankets [comfort/heat] strewn around, and three horses [movement] in the barn. Really, that's it.
IN ALL: 3x Horses, Infinity Sleeping Spots, Blankets, Loft.
Pros: Three horses, strong house [no zombies fur chu], dirt ground [farming!], infinity sleeping spots [no real defined area].
Cons: Neighing is rather noisy, and these horses are rather just restless! [attention from zombies/raiders, less sleep.]
[3] An old pizzeria.
Well, it's old. All made out of bricks, this pizzeria gives a very classic look to all of it. Some vines hang down from the front of it; grape vines running down the whole thing. Clamoring inside from the broken glass doors, you find yourself in a completely wrecked area. Tables are flipped over, chairs are hacked in half, and various items are littered around. Passing through all of that, to the kitchen, you find a very high tech kitchen, complete with an oven [cooking], a microwave [cooking], stove [cooking, and a fridge [cold storage]. Lined up against the wall are various cabinets, and about half of them contain food [food], the other half have some weapons in them. Ranging from a Smith & Weston M&P [weapon], a Lee Enfield [2x weapons], Thompson M1928s [3x weapons], and a trench gun [weapon]. This person was obviously someone of slight interest, good thing in death, he left his journal to explain what happened to him. [entertainment]
IN ALL: Limited Sleeping Spots [maybe only three or four], Seven Weapons, 1x Oven, 1x Microwave, 1x Stove, 1x Fridge, 12x [pounds] of food, 1x Journal.
[4] Build-Your-Own
Use the same format I did, make sure you have cons to way with the pros, and I'll accept it if it's good, decline if it isn't.
[NOTE: You can change your base later on, if you wish. These are just starters]
[------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------]
GOAL: To survive the longest. [you win if you have survived two years, or have found a way to escape the city.] You are the leader of the team you have gathered. How you react to life, may put the survivors with you or against you. Weapons are important, but not every monster can be put down by a simple bullet to the head. You can find more survivors, supplies, but its highly dangerous out of you encampment. Events will happen every day, or twice everyday. You are allowed to execute orders, and say end day. Then what has happened during that time period will be said, and you can restart.
But, I bet your wondering about supplies, correct? Well, you have 90 points to spend on supplies, and people.
[PEOPLE]
Laborer: Costs 10 points. Average type person, can have any typical job. Not rich.
Street: Costs 5 points. Rebellious, but brings fighting [the only way you'll get anyone with experience] and stealth to the table.
High Class: Costs 15 points. Submissive, and typically knows a bit about gunwork if they are a hunter. Can have any kind of job imaginable, if it makes sense. [like a person who picks up trash doesn't make any sense.] MIGHT BRING AN ITEM WITH THEM!
[SUPPLIES]
Food: 5 Points per three pounds. Each person will consume half a pound daily. So if you buy nine pounds, you could feed a group of six people for four days.
Water: 5 points per three gallons. Depending on how the day has gone, people will consume different amounts. Typically a gallon lasts about maybe two days for four people.
Weapons: 15 points per crate. Brings two different weapons [not your choice] with random amounts of ammo.
Melee Weapons: 20 points per crate. Brings three different weapons [one is your choice], with varying levels of quality.
Movies/Books/Board Games: Costs 20 points per crate. Brings either ten books, five movies, or two board games. It can also vary, like one board game, and five books. Entertainment will range on what you get.
Building Materials: Costs 20 points per crate. Brings either a whole box of wood [hammer and nails] , whole box of iron [hammer and tongs], or a whole box of steel [with a blow torch]. No mixing between it.
Radio: Costs ten points. You need an energy source, but you can entertain everyone, and get various reports from US/Canada. Overall, a very useful item.
Ammo: Costs 5 points. You get different types of ammo, and a variated amount of it.
Medicine: Costs fifteen points. Will vary from allergy medicine to the life saving cure. _____________________________________________________________________________
Sickness: Your people will eventually get sick, and without medicine, they will die. Thus, you need to ration your medicine, and make sure you keep a stock of it. Same with injury, cleaning, and healing of it.
I can't think of anything else, so anything else I'll make a note of it in all of the ISRPS. CSs..
Name /-\ge Location [of your base] Bio [if wanted] Physical Description Skills [can have up to six] Weakness [you must have at least one if you have three skills, or if six, at least two. Probably more enjoyable with more weaknesses, but whatever.] I choose.. [list what you have picked, and the whole amount added up.]
PEOPLE
Name Previous Job Personality [needed] He is [street, laborer, or higher class] Description
I reposted this, as I would really liked to do this ISRP, and it's original. So yeah. Give me advice to help me fix this, and I'll gladly accept your criticism [don't care if it's bashing me like heck.] |

Or at least until I run out of coffee. Then, eh, maybe six or five. But still, reserved. |

Me too. Pros: Can be put into lockdown which makes it hard for things to get in. Cons: Once in lockdown, it's near to impossible to get out of the store, so it is always put into lockdown only at night.

Well.. how do I put this.
Your original CSs are accepted.
Techmags; You are 10 points over the limit.
Rovince: 15.
Now to your bases. I get you're general concept, and I can work them out, but how you built them wasn't... exactly, detailed. But I can easily write them out and then you can see if you want to keep it or not.
And finally, you didn't fill out any of the 'PEOPLE' CSs. They're for the actual people. |

Location: A Mall
A large shopping mall with many stores for many things, this mall has virtually no limit to its resources or inhabitants. Its stores can be locked-down, for some defence, but the mall is an obvious attraction to the foe. The size is another fault, but the largest threat is the electricity: Working but, alas, violently spewing sparks.

I'd accept it, but it's rather... big. You could definitely have it later on, and I can file it away later. Try something in between a three story fire fighter kind of thing, to a small shipping crate. Just for the size range.
Now CS and such. |

[Alrighty. It's possible. Let's say the mall was in construction when it was ended by fault in eh, 1950s, cause of the infection. And only one room is furnished, and start from there. Sound good enough?
You'd have to describe the room you're in.] |

[Lovely CS. Character conflict. Gotta love it.]
Pawn Store
In a little corner on the side of Main Ave and Hoven's Road, there lays a shop. It's very close to the crates where in landed, thus having a lot of people infected. However, the owners barricaded some of it, until their untimely demise. The two windows are fully boarded up with wood, and the door has five different sets of locks. There are some serious cracks in the roof, which might just be a hinderance. Inside you have some items of various use. There are some piles of clothing [+health, cleanliness, bandages [in extreme cases], some pots and pans [something to cook with], a room to the side with a toilet and working water [happiness], and some board games. There is Monopoly [happiness], Jericho's Fall [survival information, happiness], and one box which has nothing in it. Except for two S&W six shooters [weapon].
IN ALL: x3 Clothing, x2 Pans, x1 Pot, x1 Bathroom, 2x Board Games, 2x S&M.
Pros: Good stuff, might find hidden items time to time.
Cons: Not only is it near the crates [yup, more zombies], you have a frikken hole in the roof. |
