I want to craft a world and base an RP off of it. It's basically another Elador, but I want this to be... larger.
These pictures are what really inspired me;

This time, instead of cramming all of the information into a single thread, we're going to space it out and make several threads. One for the landscape and geography, another for other stuff, and of course one for the actual RP...
So, is anyone even mildly interested? |

I especially want cities and kingdoms to be... unique.
If you look at the pictures in my favorites, you can see a city in a cave, another city built along the trunk of a large oak, a city simply hanging off the 'edge of the world', another one built above several waterfalls...
I think we can design cities just as neat as these. |

One thing I want to make clear, though;
I don't want any gods or 'chosen ones', so to speak. These were used in Elador, but I want to include more realism in this RP. If a character possesses any supernatural abilities, it's because of their race, and the abilities would be more of a natural feature, like the ability to jump higher, or strength that no human possesses... something like that.
Speaking of abilities, should we include wizards/mages at all? |

Maybe some. I was thinking that most were eliminated in the early days of this world, and the remaining wizards/mages are hiding their identities and using magic as little as possible.
Aaand another question; Is this going to be a sandbox type RP? If so, we'll have to think of something that will bring them all together. Maybe they all travel to one particular location and join the crew of a sea/sky ship type... thing? And then we won't have to have a distinct objective for all of our characters. |

| And by 'them', I mean characters. Sorry, didn't make that clear enough. .-. |

| Goodness. There are so many neat pictures on dA, I don't think we'll have a problem creating the landscape/geography. .-. |

| So is it like a world filled with a whole bunch of humanoid creatures, or is it just humans. Basically, what kind of creatures are we dealing with here? |

I imagine that, if we were all part of the crew, then we could have the ship explore the entire map. As to why the crew came together in the first place, I don't know. Maybe because of superstitions?
Or maybe they just want to explore. It'd be a vacation to them.
And, I was thinking that we could create villains and make enemies during the exploration. Of course, we could intertwine the legends of the mages/wizards with our characters' joruneys. |

@Copper,
Whatever we do, I'd like to include several different races. But, here's what I was thinking; again, in the early days of this world, it is believed that the human race eliminated many races, while others simply 'vanished'. So then, our characters would discover plenty of unique creatures during the RP. |

| Yeah. We could have like things either trying to stop us while we were on the ship, or just along the way we encountered like maybe like minibosses that just want to kill us. Or a one of a kind species that's kind was wiped out by humans, so is just fueled by anger. Then, along the way we could maybe figure out about something bigger than all of our enemies. And the kind of underlying objective would be in the end to stop whatever it is. |

To summarize my idea;
The world is a fictional land full of, err, insentient fantasy creatures that can resemble animals in our own world. The landscape would definitely be fictional with settlements made of ice and cities hanging over the edges of cliffs.
Throughout the RP, unique, legendary races would be discovered in their natural habitats [they'd be pre-made, of course]. |

| Exactly, Copper. Perhaps we could even have a pirate crew that could serve as antagonists throughout the RP. |

Didn't read all, but on the topic of magic: Maybe engineering instead?
Interested.

| Well, I'd actually prefer to include some magic, because I work best with magic as the premise for the RP. |

| So, who will be committed? This will likely be a very long project, and I'll need your commitment. Also, as collaborators, you don't have to treat me like some sort of headmaster. We will consult and collaborate. But, of course, I'd like to be notified of any additions/changes while this RP is in the making. I'll do the same for the rest of you. |
