"yeah probably my biggest influences right now are the beatles, tmbg, and the jam too maybe if only because they're defiantly british"
just examine their pieces and see what they did special
it was like that structure that i showed you
it generally had a really catchy instrumental intro that hooked you, generally abrupt, steady beat, the vocals generally build a rhythm and the instruments make a beat, lots of harmonies too, angelic sounding
but you need other people for that, use a bit of symphonic and baroque influences if you can, it always makes everything sound better
"yeah but if i ever want the HUMAN ELEMENT in more orchestral pieces, i'd need notation"
unless you're reviewing some of zappa's orchestral stuff you won't need it much
"im not sure if zappa ever even played and sung at the same time??
i'm sure at some point but nothing comes to mind"
it's literally impossible to do a solo or a really off-beat guitar riff and sing at the same time
you need to align the guitar and singing almost, check out i want you (she's so heavy)
sing and play it at the same time, it's extremely easy |

"but you need other people for that, use a bit of symphonic and baroque influences if you can, it always makes everything sound better"
i listen to people like pachelbel and mozart and beethoven and such
i suppose i could divide what i want to do up in two ways
beatlesque and tmbg-esque and despite my recent infatuation with the latter, probably large the former is what i'll do
"unless you're reviewing some of zappa's orchestral stuff you won't need it much"
once i get to that level, i'd like to add orchestration to my works, where i feel necessary
"sing and play it at the same time, it's extremely easy"
i'm working on something write now
it's rather easy to play, really but i have to record the guitar and vocals separate because i have yet to really be able to do both at the same time at all |

i find it very easy to sing and play at the same time, i can play that, rocky raccoon, taxman, and day tripper on lead + vocals at the same time
i'm trying to work on the my sweet lord chords + my sweet lord lead guitar on whistling
i guess it's a inherited trait
though no one in my family is musically adept. . . |

when i try to sing and play, i mess up so much
so i've taken to recording the acoustic guitar and then vocals later
i can play chords and sing at the same time decent enough tho |

well
i've been doing this for a year now
but tap your fingers quickly in this order and maintain conversation
preferably on your fretting hand
pinky thumb ring index middle
it's a habit now so that's why i could be good at it |
