1. Bad jokes, off-topic discussion, poor attempts at sarcastic humor (also a bad joke but deserves its own special mention.) A programming forum is not the place for this. Take it elsewhere.
2. Immaturity meets advanced concepts. It's a natural tendency for an inexperienced person to believe that they know more about a topic than they really do, simply because they don't understand the extent of said topic. This is a well-studied topic in itself, see "Dunning-Kruger Effect" for more information.
3. Slow moderation. This is a very subjective one - the forum itself does move slowly, so it's only natural that moderation would match. But unfortunately, moderation does not move quickly enough to prune spam before the regulars here flock to it, which brings me to my next point.
4. Reacting to spammers. The people in this board handle this very, very poorly. If someone posts a thread that's completely irrelevant or completely idiotic, _ignore it and move on._ When you reply to it to tell them they're stupid, you are _bumping it back up to the top of the page!_
My suggestion reflects that of Sorcus's: make this board invite-only. |

| Nah, Arceus. You're probably one of the few I'd invite if it was my responsibility. |

Yeah, okay, I want to apologize for that one. It was kind of stupid.
Seriously though, I've seen you doing this recently, NVI. Also, I've said it a billion times, and I'll say it again:
Lighten up, bud. I just visit this site in my spare time, it isn't my job or anything. No need to take things to maximum seriousness. |

| You can suggest all of this all you want. Nothing will really change, because, no matter how much your pride wants to reject it - this feeds the flame. Speaking out is not a solution here. Use your minds to angle the thought more. |

The idea that only a few factors contribute to the poor condition of the forum is an unhealthy one. If we were to focus on only a few problems, and try your suggestion of making the forum invite-only, we risk missing the true issues and fixing problems by trying to obliterate them completely, while obliterating the benefits of having the forum open. Take a moment to think of what scripters do on this site other than use the Scripters forum. Not too much, so new scripters who would be normally welcome don't get to contact other scripters in the club. Also, if anyone was aware of the invite-system, they would be asking invited members all the time to be invited, and this could get out of hand quickly, as a lot of spam to our in-boxes would appear. Similarly, if there is no challenge to our thinking, (like spam and new members supply) this ceases to become an intelligent, thinking community, because we would be surrounded by people who always agree with us and our opinions.
DON'T delete the Scripters forum. DON'T make the forum invite-only. I think that these options are inappropriate in this case. |

1. Get silly primary group 2. Post something that can be related to that group.

The moderators are actually pretty fast. Look at Off-Topic or ROBLOX talk two of the most visited forums. Inappropriate threads are everywhere and threads aren't locked or deleted until after 20 or so people have replied to it.
Anyway most of these problems periphery outside of this forum too. It's not just this forum. |

This is why I don't post here much. Drama everywhere. Didn't used to be like that, Scripters used to be legitimate discussion all the time. Oh well, I'll keep reading and reading until I may find a topic that I believe I can give attention to with a post. |

If you wanted where the majority of my posts are, that is here, in Scripters.
Guess you could call me a lurker. I read and read, just finding drama. Looking for any discussion I feel like posting in.
Man, if the drama went away, you would see me posting, a lot. |

| Well, I do see you on scripters, but mkay. And anyway, what would you expect from 11-14 year old community. |

The reason I don't post lately is because I would be participating in and contributing to the drama. So, now you know there is another pair of eyes watching you guys every day. |

| I do expect better than this from 11-14 year olds. And better than this especially from young adults, like Sorcus. |

@Number 2 He's talking about me, because I argued with him yesterday when he questioned my knowledge on exploits.
