owning a piece of the most famous shipwreck in history, which now lies 2 miles at the bottom of the Atlantic... Pretty cool if you ask me.. |

@Toothy
Oh neat! :D
@waddles.
No, this is RMS Titanic Inc's auction. They are the only company authorized to sell pieces from the Titanic (If you didn't know, selling pieces of it is illegal if not through that company)
It's a very small piece, which explains the low price. |

How do you know if it's real? Are you sure someone didn't just leave wood in the water for about a year?

@105
I was skeptical at first, but after further research on the seller, in is, in fact, a licensed company which collects fragments from Titanic expeditions and sells them. This particular piece I'm buying is believed to be deckwood which broke off during the Titanic's split. The wood was found floating in the Atlantic, along with other Titanic items, during April 22nd 1912 Titanic recovery. |

Thank you! I'm a sucker for historic items like that, especially at the low price. The Titanic is expected to collapse from the pressure in a few years, so I will be lucky to own a piece of it when it does dissolve. |
