YES
EEE EASTERN CONFERENCE EEE
---ATLANTIC DIVISION--- 1. New York Rangers 2. Philadelphia Flyers 3. Pittsburgh Penguins 4. New Jersey Devils 5. New York Islanders
COMMENT: The loss of Zach Parise for the Devils is gonna hurt, and Kovalchuk is getting old along with Martin Brodeur. Look for it to be a close finish between New Jersey and Pittsburgh.
---NORTHEAST DIVISION--- 1. Boston Bruins 2. Buffalo Sabres 3. Montreal Canadiens 4. Ottawa Senators 5. Toronto Maple Leafs
COMMENT: Zdeno Chara is still a great player, and so are the rest of the Bruins. Obvious playoff run this year. The Leafs, like always, just cannot get it done with the unpleasable fanbase they have.
---SOUTHEAST DIVISION--- 1. Carolina Hurricanes 2. Tampa Bay Lightning 3. Washington Capitals 4. Florida Panthers 5. Winnipeg Jets
COMMENT: Well, Eric Staal and Vincent Lecavalier are EXCELLENT centers. They will score a lot of goals this year and bring their respective teams to the playoffs. Alexander Ovechkin is still great as well, and I expect him to be the #7 or #8 seed. The Winnipeg Jets will be a dissapointment, but the fanbase will not care and pack up the MTS Centre. I can't imagine them being past the Panthers, but they will still be a good squad.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
WWW WESTERN CONFERENCE WWW
---CENTRAL DIVISION--- 1. Chicago Blackhawks 2. Detroit Red Wings 3. Nashville Predators 4. St. Louis Blues 5. Columbus Blue Jackets
COMMENT: Wow, the Red Wings making the playoffs AGAIN!? Well, this team is decent, not great, but decent. Have the fans and the history behind them as well, but in the coming seasons don't look for this team to look as good. Team is getting old too. Will be a close finish with the Nashville Predators. I wish the best for the Blue Jackets, congratulations on that standing ovation during your first practice, but last season was bad. I can't see you going past the Blues.
---NORTHWEST DIVISION--- 1. Edmonton Oilers 2. Minnesota Wild 3. Vancouver Canucks 4. Calgary Flames 5. Colorado Avalanche
COMMENT: The Oilers always choke in the middle of a 82-game schedule, but due to the Lockout, this will not happen. They might or might not start gently collapsing afterwards. The Wild have a good winger in Zach Parise, and look for him to be one of the star players.
---PACIFIC DIVISION--- 1. Dallas Stars 2. Los Angeles Kings 3. San Jose Sharks 4. Anaheim Ducks 5. Phoenix Coyotes
COMMENT: Yes, the LA Kings will make the playoffs again, but Dallas has the better team overall. The Sharks will get a good 8th seed in the playoffs, but look for them to be tough against whoever they're facing.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
ER EASTERN CONFERENCE FIRST ROUND ER
1. New York Rangers (4) ----------------------------->New York Rangers 8. Montreal Canadiens (1)
The Rangers have good playoff success in the past. The Canadiens just don't stand a chance, but I think they can win 1 game with their home Centre Bell crowd behind them.
2. Philadelphia Flyers (4) ----------------------------->Philadelphia Flyers 7. Washington Capitals (3)
Dang. I really underestimated the Capitals performance. Last season they scored a game-winning goal in OT versus the Bruins to win the game, and look for that to be (almost) the same case here. The Wells Fargo Center crowd is again, an influence, so I see the Flyers winning this is a close one in overtime.
3. Pittsburgh Penguins (4) ---------------------------->Pittsburgh Penguins 6. Buffalo Sabres (1)
Now don't get me wrong, the Sabres are a good team, but they just cannot get past Crosby and crew. Penguins beat the Sabres in 4 games, with Buffalo winning only one game with their home crowd.
4. Carolina Hurricanes (2) ----------------------------->Tampa Bay Lightning 5. Tampa Bay Lightning (4)
Well, this is a tough matchup. 2 teams from the same division playing each other. The Lightning didn't make it to the playoffs last year, but they will ramp it up and beat the 'Canes 4-2.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
WR WESTERN CONFERENCE FIRST ROUND WR
1. Chicago Blackhawks (4) -------------------------------->Chicago Blackhawks 8. San Jose Sharks (2)
Tough matchup again, but Chicago has the upper hand. They will rely on Toews to hit the back of the net and bring them to the second round.
2. Edmonton Oilers (4) ------------------------------->Edmonton Oilers 7. Vancouver Canucks (3)
Like I said earlier, the Oilers might or might not collapse. I expect them to go downhill, maybe, but they will squeeze in just enough to get past the Canucks.
3. Los Angeles Kings (4) -------------------------------->Los Angeles Kings 6. Nashville Predators (2)
I expect last season's champions to come pretty hard at the Predators. They will go past the Predators 4-2 at home, with Jonathan Quick in net.
4. Detroit Red Wings (2) --------------------------------->Minnesota Wild 5. Minnesota Wild (4)
This team is old and so are the players. They will start to slowly go down hill. Zach Parise and the Wild with an AMAZING upset, defeating the Red Wings 4-2.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
ESES EASTERN CONFERENCE SEMIFINALS ESES
1. New York Rangers (4) ---------------------------------->New York Rangers 5. Tampa Bay Lightning (2)
The Lightning were going to make it, but not that far. The Rangers on the other hand? They have a lot of history, and more history making to do, at least for this round. New York will defeat Stamkos and the crew with the decent series of 4-2.
2. Philadelphia Flyers (3) --------------------------------->Pittsburgh Penguins 3. Pittsburgh Penguins (4)
2 words: FIERCE SERIES. These 2 teams have been battling for the state of Pennsylvania since 1967, and the Penguins with home ice advantage will win this one 4-3.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
WSWS WESTERN CONFERENCE SEMIFINALS WSWS
1. Chicago Blackhawks (4) --------------------------------->Chicago Blackhawks 5. Minnesota Wild (1)
Sorry Wild fans, your team is just a little bit too young. The Blackhawks, one of the original NHL teams, will beat the Wild 4-1.
2. Edmonton Oilers (2) -------------------------------->Los Angeles Kings 3. Los Angeles Kings (4)
The Oilers, going downhill, lose to the reigning "Kings" 4-2. Edmonton just has to work on staying a great team all year, then they could go further.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
EFEFEF EASTERN CONFERENCE FINALS EFEFEF
1. New York Rangers (4) --------------------------------->New York Rangers 3. Pittsburgh Penguins (3)
YIKES. This is going to be a TOUGH ONE to watch. Both teams, pretty much same quality offense and defense. Rangers, one of the oldest, beat Pittsburgh 4-3.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
WFWFWF WESTERN CONFERENCE FINALS WFWFWF 1. Chicago Blackhawks (4) ---------------------------------->Chicago Blackhawks 3. Los Angeles Kings (2)
The Blackhawks have the better team here, defeating the Kings 4-2. This will be a tough loss for LA.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
SCSCSCSC STANLEY CUP FINALS SCSCSCSC
1. New York Rangers (4) ---------------------------------->New York Rangers 1. Chicago Blackhawks (3)
WOW. Both teams have an INSANE amount of quality here. Rangers in 4, pleasing their home crowd in a thriller.
2013 STANLEY CUP CHAMPIONS: THE NEW YORK RANGERS
Rangers just had the best team out of all this season. I predict them to be the 2013 Champions.

I've went to all the open practices/training camps for like the past 3 years. Every time there is a standing ovation, just like before every game. I don't see why that was a relevant detail to include. ANYWHOOOO...
With the additions of Dubinsky, Anisimov, Foligno, Aucoin, and Bobrovsky, and Todd Richards at head coach, I think they have a legitimate shot at competing within their conference...IF they can stay away from injuries. Last season, injuries played a big part on that horrific record. Laugh all you want, but they have a lot of injury, fan backing, and a fresh start. We'll see. |

| Also, I don't see the Kings making the playoffs again. I think that was a "one hit wonder" type season. |
