Hip Hop is the real deal and Rap is a bunch of wanna-be gang members singing about women and money.
I would recommend Hilltop Hoods and Bliss n Eso.

Hip hop was the "rap" of the 80's/90's. It had lyrics where cursing was rare, and the lyrics weren't made up.
While rap today is consisted of:
