Congratulations, roblox, from what I've read from the blog and from what the game seems to be turning into with the 'future roblox prototype' post, you have completely eradicated the scripting and programming atmosphere from the game. WHY, ROBLOX, WHY?
The new 'prototype' roblox graphics you said made it look 'engineering/schematic-like' made it look EXACTLY LIKE LEGO.
Not to mention some of the other updates, too. Studio now seems (and is going to seem even more) hidden from roblox. The studio 2.0 looks child friendly, something people who actually put time into their scripts with games like Apocolypse rising, WILL NOT WANT.
You guys think your going in the right direction. Your not. You've degraded your entire community from the old community of preteens to adults to 5-15 year olds. Me and a select few are the only people above that age, and out of those, I am one of the little group of people that still had the vision of roblox being a great, universally made LUA scripting sandbox appropriate for all ages... a vision that is now out the window. Thank you. |

They are just talking about how they want it to look. They want ROBLOX to look like more realistic parts.
They wanted better game physics and engineering while users play.
Better lighting and shadows which would give a good experience when playing the game.
The black look that way so you can individually see the block in high definition. (It would also make tablets easier to render when playing)
ROBLOX want the experience to look and feel better than it is now. Not destroy the community.
All of your points are irrelevant. |

@flaming If they want it to look and feel better they are going the opposite way.

@Ronster55 How else are they going to increase the graphics with the game engine they have now? If they decided to continue they way they are going then the computer can handle ROBLOX but a tablet would not stand a chance.
Also there was no detail in the pictures. Imagine of there was a lighting, studs on the blocks, different textures. There was plenty of detail left out of those pictures. |

| I see your point, however what they mean by, how did they say it, 'engineering' appearance, has it looking exactly like how you would look at a lego set, outlines around the bricks, a 'grid/stud' appearance. Just look at the preview video they showed. |

"It’s important to note that these are renders–prototypes–and are not running in real time. We’re building these demo scenes in 3D StudioMax so we can get a sense of what this would look like before implementing them in C++, which takes much longer to generate results."
Just calm down for a moment, this won't be implemented for at least another year or two to pass. |

@jacoba
This isn't a kids site, It's an ALL ages site. What do you think the forum and studio was made for? ALL AGES. |

| Its not lag reduction that i'm worried about, they are revamping roblox's appearance to look almost exactl like lego. |

| I've stayed with ROBLOX mostly because it's the foundation of most of my intellect from other intelligent people on here. I have quite a few friends on here, and I kind of like the game. But once these "new and improved" graphics come out, I think I'm gonna be gone. |

*ignores* but honestly, ROBLOX isn't going to listen to anyone at this point. Besides, it's just being enhanced to improve our game, and maybe it's not right for you but awesome to others. |

| I agree to an extent. If you want to attract quality users, make updates advanced users will like. |

| In order to make it as a great and successful company, ROBLOX has to sacrifice a few things. The majority of ROBLOX players are young children, therefore the corporation must make ROBLOX fit in for the MAJORITY. They can't make ROBLOX fit in for everyone's ambitious needs, but they're at least trying to satisfy the next generation of modern children. |

| Yes, but now they are throwing away the sandbox programming atmosphere. And keep in mind that this used to be a game fit for mature ages, too. About 2 years ago, right where it should've stayed in the age balance, roblox was advanced for adults and teens to enjoy at their own will, but also welcoming and friendly enough for younger players to enjoy the game. That age was the high point for roblox. But then it started coming in with Disney XD attracting billions of 4 year olds everywhere, and then from that point on the game has gone downhill, and today the majority of the game users are under 14. 40% of the players are still teens and up, though |

I`ve been playing this game since I was 13, and the changes I saw have made this game more like a childrens`website.
I support. |

I've been playing ROBLOX for over 5 years. I first joined in 06. My account was "roblox captain". I loved it. ROBLOX was an original game. Now, they just want it to be some stupid crap "retro" stuff. Where's the damn originality, ROBLOX? Now stop copying other bludy games. "Crafting System" Minecraft and a HALF, my dear. "More quality" More like, following LEGO's quality and dynamics.
Be original, even if it makes you lose these new corrupt-minded noobs and random trollers. Is this entire website devoted to just making money, or helping people? 2 years ago, this was a game suitable for all ages. Now, it's just for little children that scream "noob" everytime you beat them.

If ROBLOX does this, I'm done. I'm not going to stay here. I'm sure many others may agree with this. Support.
