| Every time I hit the 2nd fret on the first string instead of playing the note it just makes a viberating sound. It's very irritating as when I try to play chords using that note they end up sounding terrible. It never happened before, it just started last week, i figured it may have been out of tune but it wasn't. Anyone know if I can fix this, as it is a pretty important note/sharp. |

| Ok, I know you're not the smartest pomegranate, Lobsturdy, but you have to hold your fingers down on the strings, pluck the corresponding strings at the bottom, move it around some, play some notes together, buy a metronome, record yourself, and you have an instrumental that you can now dub in Audacity! Big ups! |

| Also you sometimes have to turn the EQ knobs up on the top of the the guitar to make it sound better, vibrating means there is too much bass |

...it has nothing to do with how I'm holding the note. There's something wrong with the guitar.
What is that post, john, did you even read the original post? |

| Just take this away, lobster: use the EQ knobs at the top of the guitar, if it's vibrating it has to be turned to the right I believe to tighten it, you don't want too much bass (paradoxically). |

Okay good a more relevent post. I'm not exactly sure what that means though as I'm fairly new to guitar. What do you mean bass? It's an acoustic guitar. |

Considering I've had this guitar sense August and have been playing it everyday since without problem, something tells me the problem wasn't there in the store, and that there's nothing wrong with the way I'm playing either. |

besides sexy and i know it when im high _________ Acoustic guitars produce low frequencies (ie bass, not necessarily sub bass) when the strings are loose. Tighten your strings with the EQ knobs! |

| General, stupid question here, but are the EQ knobs the knobs you use to tune the guitar? Because those are the only knobs on my guitar. |

| Yes the only knobs are the eq knobs, turn them as tightly as possible. |

| Yeah I figured as much. I know not to tune the strings too tight. I'm not stupid I'm just ignorant. |

| It does, by tightening the strings you control what frequencies you want, aka EQ. |
