Oh....noooooo. A console doesn't open with a full line of games and new games aren't made in the 3 months it comes out.
AHEM PS3 STARTED THE SAME WAY GENIUSES.
And besides....I bought the vita for one thing only. Persona 4 the golden. |

I already have a 3DS and I can say it makes me happy with Pokemon and Devil Survivor: Overclocked.
SIR....I AM ON A GAMING COMPUTER. I play way more than Trade Fortress 2.
All, I'm saying is that the Vita is a portable console. I'm not really expecting a new game for it every tuesday like all the other consoles. Even the 3DS doesn't have a huge library of GOOD games. The Vita's library consists of the PSN store. Which updates every month. |

"Dude. There's been 3 good exclusives I can think of in an entire YEAR with the Vita. Wake up and buy a 3DS, it's better anyways."
*cracks knuckles and aims fingers towards keyboard with a menacing grin*
I think 3 is a colossal understatement. Why don't we take a look at the first year of the PS Vita?
Firstly, Assassin's Creed 3 Liberation. This title was an EXCLUSIVE for the Vita and the only Assassin's Creed I've enjoyed since the second one. The main selling point was the fact that it was on a handheld - a full AC experience - and one of the best ones there's been. There was AC Bloodlines on PSP, but that was nothing like the scale of this one with the graphical prowess, the tight controls, the huge open world, and the amount of content
Next we've got Gravity Rush. Ooooh Gravity Rush, now that was fantastic. Another EXCLUSIVE for the Vita. I have completed everything in this game, DLCs included, and I have to say that the feeling of flying around without the limitations of gravity is an experience like no other, I truly wonder why this was not done in a game before. Then take into account the fantastic art direction, another expansive open world with 4 continents and no load times between them, the intense gravity-based combat, the cliffhanger, the controls, it's an all-round fun and unique game
Another game is Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA f, an EXCLUSIVE. I've never really been interested in rhythm games until I got recently obsessed with Theatrhythm: Final Fantasy on my iPhone and looked into a few more. I found out DJMax Technika Tune was on it, but apparently it's unplayable in Japanese. Instead, I tried out DIVA f which I borrowed from a Japanese-culture-obsessed female friend and enjoyed it thoroughly despite looking like a Japanese teenage girl playing it with all the colours and anime characters. The screen is incredibly good for rhythm games, you can see everything which is going on
As if that wasn't enough, LittleBigPlanet PS Vita came out - an EXCLUSIVE. It brought the entirety of LittleBigPlanet, and a whole load more content to the handheld space in style. The touchscreen and backtouch functionality were perfected in this game and offered all sorts of integral gameplay which didn't feel tacked on, the developers incorporated it in a smart way and ended up making some excellent levels based around it. The sheer amount of content (quality content, too) is astounding with levels and minigames to revisit again and again with additional awards and prizes
A favourite of mine, Persona 4 GOLDEN was released in 2012 too - do I have to say it? Yes, I do, it was an EXCLUSIVE. I imported it from the US out of sheer excitement for an extra £5, and got a skin for my Vita too - which looks great on it. I couldn't even begin to describe my love for P4G, the characters, the story, the gameplay, the systems, the updated graphics, the new content, the music... It's the greatest game ATLUS has made in my own opinion, and it's the killer app for the Vita at this current point in time
I'd talk about other games I've enjoyed on the Vita this year like Super Stardust Delta, WipEout 2048, Uncharted, Disgaea, Rayman, PS All-Stars and so on, but this post would become even more ridiculously long than it already is
Let me just add that there are even more Vita games due this year which I'm excited for, Final Fantasy X HD, Soul Sacrifice, Tearaway, Killzone: Mercenary, to name a few
Just an fyi; I'm buying a 3DS XL soon, and have nothing against it. I think it's a great device, but saying that the Vita has had 3 good exclusives in it's first year is one of the most irritating understatements I've read in a while and I felt I had to put you in your place
