could someone outside really have stopped the newtown incident?
not really.
why?
-his mom was perfectly sane -she was perfectly legal to buy the guns -no matter how well she hid them, he probably would have found the guns -how did she know that he was mad at her or anyone else? -he smashed through the stinkin' front door glass. the receptionist did exactly what she should have with no gun. call the authorities.
as much as it sounds bad, it could have been a lot worse.
if you have an answer, look at it this way.
how would it have been prevented BEFORE it happened? think about it as if it had not happened yet.
i'll just leave this here |

@tato
the problem with that was, i read that they had an assault rifle ban in 1994 that lasted for 10 years. unfortunately though, the government didn't renew it. |

>what about improvised weapons, smuggled weapons, ect not having them available to public really doesnt help prevent the criminals from not getting them

@tato
you have people that relay on guns to survive, food wise and protection.
I know in alaska people take great pride in hunting their own food and it requires a gun, if they dont have that, then they die of starvation.
I have seen people also die themselves if it wasnt for them openly carrying
its food and protection |

"remove the guns=problem solved"
Not it's not. Criminals will ALWAYS find a way to have guns. What we need to do is have teachers and school staff armed. |

">what about improvised weapons, smuggled weapons, ect not having them available to public really doesnt help prevent the criminals from not getting them" do you know how hard it is to make one of those things and how hard it is to buy a gun illegally?
"you have people that relay on guns to survive, food wise and protection." you live in a first world country this is never an issue
"I know in alaska people take great pride in hunting their own food and it requires a gun, if they dont have that, then they die of starvation." 1. grocery store 2. assualt rifles to hunt deer?
"I have seen people also die themselves if it wasnt for them openly carrying" the grammar of this sentence implies the person died even though they were openly carrying a weapon, which is contrary to your point and what do they need protection from exactly?
"Not it's not. Criminals will ALWAYS find a way to have guns. What we need to do is have teachers and school staff armed." are you an idiot

not really.
why?
-his mom was perfectly sane (implying that the guns were totally out of reach from a unmentally stable kid)
-she was perfectly legal to buy the guns(still not that hard to obtain a assualt rifle at a gun show you don't even need a background check)
-no matter how well she hid them, he probably would have found the guns (that's like saying every kid will find their Christmas presents before Christmas and open them too? just cause he finds the guns doesn't imply that he'll be able to get the ammo for it as well)
-how did she know that he was mad at her or anyone else? (he's autistic, a mentally unstable timebomb where for the most part his world has to stay in perfection.as well as the fact he was living with her so your saying she doesnt know her own child?) -he smashed through the stinkin' front door glass. the receptionist did exactly what she should have with no gun. call the authorities.(not that hard to do with a assault rifle)

yeah so what if its hard? most of these shooters are mentally unstable and will stop at nothing
umm not really that hard to smuggle/hide guns when US is full of thousands and thousands of guns already at our disposal, so lets say we do put out a law of banning guns, how many are hidden after law is put into work

"(implying that the guns were totally out of reach from a unmentally stable kid)" not really? i said they were easily within reach due to the fact that she could geat them.
"(still not that hard to obtain a assualt rifle at a gun show you don't even need a background check)" they still do background checks for stuff like that, i'm pretty sure.
"(that's like saying every kid will find their Christmas presents before Christmas and open them too? just cause he finds the guns doesn't imply that he'll be able to get the ammo for it as well)" most likely the ammo is WITH the gun..
"(he's autistic, a mentally unstable timebomb where for the most part his world has to stay in perfection.as well as the fact he was living with her so your saying she doesnt know her own child?)" she did, but she was TEACHING NOT AT HOME and he was AT HOME. she obviously thought she could trust him at home. apparently not.
"(not that hard to do with a assault rifle)" hurrdurr obviously.. |
