Well, I have 2 roller coaster tycoon 3 discs, and they are all scratched and wont install. So I have a question. Would it be OK to pirate the game, and if I do, would I still be able to download plugins for it?

| You can pirate it, sure, but it still won't be justified. |

| If you bought the games, then probably yes. Just because you bought them. Well that's my opinion. (I don't know about the 2nd answer though) |

| Well it's still illegal to pirate things, but you did buy the game. My mind is hurting. |

It's not justified because it's illegal, despite the reason you have.
If you were stealing to feed a poor family, you're still stealing. |

"If you were stealing to feed a poor family, you're still stealing."
Um, what? If you stole to feed a poor family, it WOULD be justified, just not legal. Justified =/= Legal. |

Meh, im not too worried about the first one anyways. But can I still download plugins for the game if it's pirated?

IMO at least, it's only ok (I said ok, not legal) to pirate a game if it's off the market and the developer isn't selling retail copies anymore. Like SNES titles. The only games I've ever pirated is the first two Warcraft titles, both from the late '90s.
Basically, if you can't pick it up at Gamestop, it should be fine.

| Morally its ok, you bought the game, not the discs afterall, but it is illegal because in the process of torrenting you share it on to others. |

NVM, my dad said he doesn't want me to pirate it, and that he can just buy another copy.

| It's probably still illegal, but I don't consider it morally wrong if you bought a legitimate copy. |

Stealing= The action of the verb, to steal. To illegally, or without the owner's permission, take possession of something by surreptitiously taking or carrying it away.
The games belong to the owner. They don't give you permission. Thus you are stealing from them. They make no profit and you just stole what could of been upwards of 60 dollars from them. |

The way I look at it is that you own a license to the game, so you can go pirate it.
Chris Sawyer already made millions from Rollercoaster Tycoon 1 alone.
Emulators are legal as long as you own the game, or if the game is abandonware. |
