Alright, we all know that in-game, a lot of rules are broken. The report button is there to stop this from happening. Needless to say, the report button is rarely used and most rule-breakers can cuss and cheat to their heart's content. I believe I have thought up a solution to this issue, so please, read on. Show your support if you agree!
There is a player who has reported a certain number of players, say, one hundred. Those one hundred players that he/she reported were later banned or warned. This player has also not been banned within the past three months; so, an automated message from an administrator came to this reporter which invited him/her to become a Trusted Reporter. The Trusted Reporter is unique in that his/her reports go to the top of the report stack, allowing them to be read almost instantaneously by moderators. This means that anyone in-game with a Trusted Reporter who decides to break the rules will be punished within moments after the report is sent. In addition, the Trusted Reporter is allowed into the Trusted Reporter's group which is exclusive to those who have completed the requirements seen above. Trusted Reporters also receive a unique tag next to their name or below their avatar, similar to a BC tag except that it reads TR (Trusted Reporter). A Trusted Reporter is removed from the group if he/she is banned. If he/she wishes to join the group after being kicked out, he/she will have to wait three months and then fulfill the requirements once again.
What can we expect from the introduction of this system? 1.) Fast action to rule-breakers when a Trusted Reporter is present 2.) More people using the report feature in an attempt to become a Trusted Reporter 3.) More people trying to avoid breaking rules so that they can become a Trusted Reporter 4.) An overall better community!
Please contribute any additions you would like to see on this idea! Reply to show your support! Criticize what you see flawed! Thank you for reading! |

So you become a mini mod and get rewarded for it? No. |

First of all, you are not rewarded, unless you count the tag as a reward.
Second of all, who do you think you are calling people who report rule-breakers mini-mods? Is trying to keep ROBLOX a kid-friendly environment the definition of a mini-mod? If so, is that so undesirable? |

Support. @david, Trying to improve the community (which will never happen) makes you a minimod? Explain more. |

Reporting everything single thing you see is mini modding. Also getting a symbol beside your name is a reward. |

Also let the 8 year olds fight, I'll sit back and watch, it's amusing. The community can't get better so why bother. |

I don't think that was a very good explanation. No one would report everything they see, as they would get banned themselves for false reporting. Therefore, not making them a minimod, because they got them self banned. Second of all, how good of a reward is a symbol beside your name?

If you read the thread, you would see that in order to earn the rank you must have reported 100 users and had them banned/warned. Thus, reporting everything you see would result in nothing. The symbol beside your name is there so that people are less likely to break rules when a Trusted Reporter is present. It is practical and I suppose a reward, given ROBLOXian's likeness towards acquiring aesthetics. |

Although this idea is really nice, it lacks an incentive. Many people would not even bother doing this since we are all lazy beings. However, the few people out there who wants to create a good community, it may work in that case.
Nonetheless, support.

'You must have reported 100 users and had them banned or warned' So no one can actually get it then? Roblox only takes into account a minuscule amount of reports and most go unknown. A Oder swore at me in game, nothing to break up the swear.. I report, not banned Excuse typos iPad correction for ya.. |

| Once again as shown above, why bother reporting at all. It won't change the community so it's pretty pointless. |

| All reports that are viable result in action taken. I can truthfully say that well over one hundred of my reports have been taken into account. That ROBLOX takes a minuscule amount of these reports into account is unfounded and based only on your experiences. |

@david89091
If this idea actually hits the staff on the head, then it would change the community. Think about all the people breaking the rules present, then add in a few TRs and you receive an "improved" community. |

| Lacks incentive? If there is one thing that I have learned about ROBLOX over the years is that they will do anything to get a hat. They'll pay $20 a month for packages that they'll only wear one part of. Suppose ROBLOX comes out and says that anyone can earn a tag beneath their name for free? |

@Xxuber I guess this could improve the community, but I'm more worried about abusers with this reporting system. as I said before this creates mini mods. (A mini mod being someone who acts like a official moderator) Also should everyone's reports be equal? Why should you because you made more reports than someone have priority. |

| It's not really prioritizing, but when a TR reports a person, it would be paid more attention. |

ROBLOX is not an environment for equality, why should reporting be any different? Why should we allow the newfriends who report another newfriend for calling them a "noob" get the limelight? Let the people who know how to report get the rule-breakers banned (first).
As for Trusted Reporters abusing their power, what is there to abuse? |

| As for what to abuse would be the prioritising of your reports. You could get a guy you disliked, get him to rage, report him and bam banned. So what is saying it could be used for your own petty disputes. |

| Maybe I didn't really described what I meant. But what I meant to say was that a TR would be trusted, which means that the player would have a first look before a normal player's report. For example, if you have 3A's and 2B's on your report card to get into university, a person with 4A's and 1B would gain the most attention. If you still don't get me, it's not a big deal if they prioritize. |

| David, anyone could do that. The Trusted Reporter's simply have their messages read first. They don't have some tag on their report that says "whatever I say, ban this guy." Unless that guy actually broke a rule, nothing is going to happen. |

Hmm I can see this working since you can answer all my queries. But the sad truth is this thread will not get any publicity because roblox and its moderators will not listen to its users. But you have my hard to get support : ) |
